I don’t think it’s one exact thing… it’s more when something just feels off
Trying too hard, negativity, or anything that doesn’t feel genuine tends to switch me off. I’d rather someone just be themselves and have a bit of fun with it

As a brown guy myself (3/4 English 1/4 Indian) I kind of understand the preference. But at the same time it's a bit hypercritical.
For me... It seems like the stereotype comes from the reputation certain demographics of people have. I've seen profiles that state Caucasian only with is just cancelling everyone but white out.
Again it could just be what people are attracted to. But it could also be the reputation of what that demographic has in their eye view.
I have met many many non white people that are great people. But I have also met many that aren't who I'd ever want around my future kids. Same can be said for white people too.
It all falls into people's life experience with certain demographics of people.
When it comes to brown especially people think about oppressive demographics like the middle east and how they treat women over there. Plus we also have the issues of all the wars over there. And also we have a huge issue with the grooming gang issues that don't put brown people in the best light either.
It's frustrating for sure because I'm sure you're like me and wouldn't dream of living up to any of those stereotypes and would straighten people out that we say living up to them. But you can't change how people see people through lived experience |
