Being in Outer Space or the Deep Sea?

For me, I'd probably say the Deep Sea especially with all the weird stuff and creatures that live in the deep.

Context?

Am I just floating about in both?

Do I have a spacesuit/scuba suit?

Is there a ship near by?

Answer varies greatly on the entirety of the scenario.

Deep sea.

I hate the sea and whats within it.

I've no idea whats in space, so that just feels like an adventure.

I imagine Space to be quiet but terrifying so sort of relaxing.

The sea is just full of sea creatures that given half a chance would nibble on you. So I’ll take Space.

Also if you drown you are aware of it.

If you suffocate it might be quicker and less dramatic?

I reckon outer space.... Being rescued from the sea would probably be easier .. besides I'm quite fascinated by the weird creatures in the deepest parts of the ocean

Am I the only one who when swimming in the sea thinks a shark is going to get them? Which considering I am from Ireland is saying something 🤣

So sea is definitely my terror choice.

You're in a space shuttle and a deep submergence vehicle. You have a scuba/spacesuit.

And you're floating around in both.

Deep sea. I have done deep sea diving, and it's dark, cold and scary. I'd love to go into space, which is probably lighter, but cold and scary too.

As above, what is the back story?

If I was suddenly transported to either I wouldn't last long. The deep sea would crush me in an instant so I'd not have much time to consider anything. Space on the other hand would be considerably more painful as all the air pockets in my body would suddenly encounter zero pressure pushing back against their 0.1Mp. Assuming I was able to deflate my lungs without my chest exploding, I still wouldn't last long as all the fluid in my body would begin to boil off even as my brain shut down from oxygen deprivation.

Assuming then that I'm in either environment with a viable life support system and return to normal life planned for, neither would Trudy me. I'd simply be fascinated and determined to make the most of an experience very few humans have been privileged enough to enjoy.

And they're very aggressive. They've been known to eat and kill each other during hunts for other fish.

Both fairly equally. They are both environments that are lethal following a vessel failure, and both are very difficult to mount rescue missions to. The deep sea has arguably less risk returning to the surface (it doesn't involve a controlled fall from space) but there is no chance to fix a leak or carry out repairs. 🤷

I feel like we know more about space (in as far as the parts humans have ever explored) than we do the deep sea. The latter is far more terrifying.

I always had a fear of deep water. I was on holiday in Ibiza some years ago and decided to face my fear by jumping off a boat into the sea.... I landed directly onto a jellyfish which stung my arm. I'm never going to face my fears ever again. Once stung twice shy.
