Hey All,
I'm overweight, have a mound which makes me thing look smaller (honest...)haha. I get paranoid that if I go to a club I'd feel embarrassed or ashamed. How does everyone else feel about it? Am I just overthinking it?
Also, going to gym etc, so if anyone has advice on losing fat (especially around the mound) I'd greatly appreciate it! |

Cant prioritise fat loss in one area unfortunately mate it always comes off in the reverse of how it went on so the bits that got fat last will generally go away first
Just keep losing fat overall mate and it will go in time |

Part of aging. Have a look for 'dad bod' online and you'll see many lasses (and lads) thirst after the less athletic figure. Same boat here, but accepting of it and embracing it. I stopped rugby at 13 but was a competitive runner for years, so I know where you're coming from. |

"Yeah thought that may be the case :/ I wish I'd looked after my body when I was younger also, shouldn't have stopped playing rugby!!"
Don’t be discouraged mate you can still achieve all that you want too, past mistakes don’t matter mate |

"Try diet and exercise, it worked for me, I’ve lost 8 stone in the last 10 months"
Wow awesome!! Well done. My biggest issue I think is boredom tbh, I can do really well for a while but then lose interest or be working from home etc and be stuck at my desk all day.
I'm down 4 stone atm but struggling atm |

Bodies come in all shapes and honestly it's not body shape that gives off the sexy vibe, it's the confidence. You got it, own it
As for losing fat eat less move more. Maybe look at starting a gym, get some advice there.
It starts from within so be clear about where you want to start and when you find that routine be consistent |

"Keep going to the gym, eat lots of lean protein and veg, cut out sugar, stop drinking
Its not complicated, its just difficult ...and boring 🤷♀️"
Yeah stopped drinking, cutting sugar - getting there, just need to be a bit more active I think. Not strict enough about gym routine. What exercises should I prioritize for fat loss? |

Unfortunately you can't spot target fat loss which is a shame. The only thing you can do is stay the course and see how it goes. Don't be in a rush to try a quick-fix solution as it's consistency that brings the most success.
As far as feeling self-conscious at a club, I think every feels that way at one point but honestly, we always focus on these things more than other people do so just go for it and enjoy yourself! |

Thank you Yeah I think it's just the thought of all this and thinking "I'm not good enough for this and nobody will be interested" |

My PT is adamant that weight bearing exercise is the most effective, but you cant out train a bad diet so for fat loss you have to be in calorie defecit all the time |

I feel the same as you. I Ruined my body when I was younger. Ive lost 30kg doing keto and I still have alot to go!! It suits me because I have a few other things that make weight loss hard for me, after years of stuggle at least I know why now.
As for a club there are all shapes and sizes, despite me being a bigger girl with loose skin 😭 I still have alot of interest which I really wasnt expecting when we started! Well done on your weight loss x

And time consuming.
For me consistency is the key. Set your life up to do the things you should consistently and things will adjust over time. You won’t notice and change. You won’t notice any change. You won’t noti….. shit I have changed! |

"There are people of all sizes and shapes in clubs, so don't sweat it
Cheers. I guess it's just the unknown for now.. I'm sure after one or two and making friends etc will get me over the fear"
TBH, as long as you can string a few sentences together, don't follow people around and just act like a normal reasonable human being, you'll do fine in clubs |
