"I've been to one and it was a lot of fun. A very relaxed atmosphere. Lots of people to mingle with. No pressure. Just getting to know people. It's a great way to connect and meet genuine people."

I love a group social. I guess what made me attend was the chance to try and get out there and meet new people and what I love about them is that it's generally treated like a night out and everyone is able to chat with no expectation or pressure with anything more.
Compared to clubs anyway where people also say you shouldn't have expectations but I feel like some people will only be receptive to chatting to those they find attractive or meet their preferences and I haven't found this to be the case with group socials. |

Only been to one and loved it. Met a lot of the lovely forum bunch who were so friendly and welcoming. Being able to talk to amazing people that I have spoken to on here and meet new people made me want to attend. |

I'm not a swinger and therefore never been to a swingers social event. I suspect these are held in clubs...?
I enjoy the Fab group socials and attend a handful of them during the year. They are a great way to meet a wide gamut of Fab newbies and forum folk over a few drinks. It's nice to put a few faces to the names. |

Considered it and decided against it. It's not my thing to be so cavalier.
Too many unstable folk.
I'd not trust the peaceful existence/safety of my family or my ability to pay my bills to strangers. |

A social event can be held in a swingers club. but they are often held outside of clubs.
If you are not a swinger then why are you on a swingers platform.

I think they are great for new people to gain confidence and make social friends at least. After attending a few I did find they became rather repetitive with a fairly small circle of attendees. |

Swingers socials are a great, no pressure way to meet fellow swingers in a relaxed environment.
Usually just like meeting friends in a pub for a few drinks.
It also sorts out the timewasters from the real players.
Would recommend them to everyone who wants to meet and not just chat online.
Give them a whirl or organise one yourself, we organised many and all great nights. |

Attended the Manchester lounge social a couple of times, a few years ago now tho. met alot of the people from the forums, made some great new friends. My anxiety was sky high, but once I was there and started chatting to people, I realised how friendly and welcoming they all was. |

We've been to a couple over the years. Its just a good opportunity to meet like minded people, makes some connections and have a laugh. However I think we just prefer clubs. We can do the same there but with extra options too. |

Haven’t been to a ‘social’ yet but am really enjoying the social side of our little lifestyle it has surprised me that quite a few people I’ve met are in for the social aspects as much as the sexy ones. |

Some good, some bad. Some are like forum meet ups which is great if you know if you know a few people already I think the biggest factor is who is organising it.
We went to one last year it was organised by someone we had never heard of and it was awful, a tiny packed City Centre pub, too noisy, too small, nothing organised, basically felt like walking to any pub on Saturday night |

Lots of married people on here cheating sleeping with others that don't class themselves as swingers and I would agree, there's a big difference between swinging/ENM & cheating.

I love the social events! Don’t get to go to as many anymore unfortunately. Always seem to be when I’m at my busiest 🙄 I’ve found they’re a good way to meet people who aren’t as confident on Fab or just prefer to meet people that way.
Made some great friends at events and always have such a good laugh with everyone |

I don't do group social events anymore, it feels to much like a club environment, which i dont really like.
I much prefer the one on one private social, it just fits my approach better. Also quite often group events show a lot of who's going, there never seems to be anyone thats my type, so it seems pointless.
I do really enjoy a private social, I enjoy learning about people and their journey on here and figuring out where it could lead. It's really exciting. |

I've only been to one organised swinger social, I was nervous as hell but enjoyed it a lot in the end. I'd like to do more but not many seem to be in Manchester these days and I can't afford to be training it everywhere and staying in hotels. |
