* Within the realms of sane
* Shows they have read and considered my profile ("I have read your profile" does not count)
* Has an attractive profile themselves
* Tells me something about themselves that I find interesting
* Demonstrates (see reading profile, same principle) that they see me as a fellow human being deserving of the same respect they are

I'm really interested in seeing what woman have to write. I keep on putting in so much efforts and being as authentic as possible but it just feels like most women intentionally play hard to please. |

I'm more likely to reply to something random and amusing, asking me my top 5 something, or something that demonstrates they've looked at profile.
I won't reply to ones where they try to convince me we've spoken before when we haven't. It's odd. |

We reply to everyone even if it’s to point out they haven’t read our profile or we are not interested. I’m sure if we had tons of messages our outlook and way we do things would be different but we get one a day if we are lucky so very easy to take the time to reply. |

The only kind of message that makes me want to reply is if I may be attracted to the person sending it. It could be the most perfectly crafted message ever but I always look at the senders profile before I open a message, so if they have no public photos, poor bio or if I’m put off by anything I’ve seen on their profile, then it’ll be deleted unread. If I do read the message, it should be polite, friendly, relaxed, genuine, no smut, not too long, no copy and paste or chat gpt, no ‘free tonight?’ or ‘can I ask you a question?’ and definitely no dick pics. |

A message that shows they have read profile, has something to talk about other than what we've been upto on fab.
We do the 'if you've read this far and want to message let us know what bands you like' or whatever we asked, it's not just a way to see whos read it and bothered to answer but it's a way to start a conversation over a hopefully shared interest. |
