nowhere i've not been on etna - but you'll need waterproofs in case, plenty of water, a decent camera, nibbles and a decent set of boots (not walking boots with all the stitchwork, it gets shredded, i usually have a decent elasticated sides 'chelsea boot). no need for the gas mask and helmet unless you need to be right at the top haha. oh, and a small rucksack obviously, and a few hours of time. |

i'm uk, not italy. yes they do tours, i prefer to get my own transport to and from south side of etna 'base camp' (rifugio sapienza, cable car, restaurants and souvenir shops) and do my own thing. i know where i'm going though. |

I’m steering clear of Italy while they have a fascist government. Plus It’s not a welcoming country if you don’t fit the heteronormative family mould. There are other places to go… |

Venice is nice I went many years ago as a child for the day while we were staying in Yugoslavia. There was a boat we took to Venice I loved it |

Venice is nice I went many years ago as a child for the day while we were staying in Yugoslavia. There was a boat we took to Venice I loved it
Always a bit too busy to enjoy - last time went it was flooded so everywhere was on platforms which was a novelty."

I didn’t say that. People are free to go where they want of course, but I won’t be going there - you’ll be fine though if you’re white, straight, and ideally Christian |
