Who love a hi 👋

Yep we have. It's what comes next that's important.
Infinitely preferable to the 'well thought out' messages that make it clear they've been nowhere near our profile text which is hardly War and Peace |

It's a bit brief as a first message. I've had a couple of these in the past and did respond out of politeness more than anything.
I've written a few detailed and specific messages to others and haven't had any response. I guess 'Hi 👋' saves wasting your time. |

"Id respond but would approach with caution if it were written in all lower case.
The first letter is always a capital, so I'd want to know why they made it small"
Suspicious behaviour. Oh wait.
suspicious behaviour. |

Yes. And winks. It seems a good way to express initial interest, though I understand not everyone thinks that way. I guess if you are a couple or single fem then you need more as you get hundreds of messages a day! |

Somewhere dark and gloomy |
Don't be crude, you wouldn't say that in a bar! What would you say, oh yeah, hi.
Read my profile! But I still won't respond unless I like the look of you.
Put effort in! Even though you don't know me and the chances are I won't reply anyway.
A hi works if you find them attractive and they have a decent profile.

From one hand, another couple of words wouldn't hurt. Even basic ones like "how are you?" or "nice day for fishing, isn't it?", from the other openers are hard.
But then again, no woman have ever started a conversation with me in any way so I'm not bothered. I try to include in the first message something that indicates I have read the profile |

"The information on their profile means more than what is said in their initial message.
A "hi" is fine as long as I have something to start a conversation with. "
This is it. A 'Hi' from a blank profile is going to get deleted, but a 'Hi' from someone I like the look of is no bother. If it doesn't flow more after that, then I draw a line. |

People are going to respond to say "hi" if they find the person who messaged them to be attractive.
That person could have a well written profile and shows everything that they are looking for. But that being said if they aren't attractive to your face, well that's it.
They aren't going to go any further and even if they do respond back it's not like it's going to amount to anything sexual.
That doesn't mean to say a friendship couldn't start. Not everyone is looking to form sexual connections on here. As I understand there's many on here who have been friend's for a long time.
That could have started with a simple "hi". |

"Depends on who is saying the Hi i guess.
If it was from somebody who i found attractive and their likes aligned with mine, then I'd reply and hope the conversation blossoms."
I'm the same with this. However, if the conversation is too hard work and it's not clear why they contacted me it ends pretty quickly. |

Oh absolutely.
One word replies are not going to instigate a good conversation |

Get so many Hi messages from silhouettes. Always respond with a Hello, well at least it is a proper word lol. That gets read, and not responded to.
Possibly a complete waste of my time, but it only takes a second or two extra to reply |

"Just putting it out there how many of you would respond to “hi” nothing more nothing less. "

I would definitely have a yawn and then depending on the person may or may not reply.
If I get a 3 word answer then, would just leave it there.
A lot of people don’t seem to appreciate conversation on here. |

"I dont mind a hi message.
If its followed up by " can i bum you" bonus.
Would you specify the type of bumming in the reply.
🤣
Hard and fast or soft and sensual "

Yes, definitely! I think it’s a little reach-out to see if someone wants to notice you, and if they say ‘hi’ back then you know to write something more personal ☺️ |
