Pinched from another thread, it seems painted nails are popular.
What's the current state of your nails?
Are they always well manicured?
My nails look like i mine coal. I don't.

I started having mine done a while ago when my neice qualified and rented a chair in a shop to support her little business.
Now I feel lost without them,at the moment almond shaped full black sparkly that go silver when warm. |

I do my own gel polish at home, my nails are really weak and bendy so I tend to keep them painted as it helps stop them breaking.
Currently they are black sparkly glitter but they're getting a bit chipped. |

Mine are disgusting atm.
But I’m getting tired of paying £40 every time for the gel polish to peel off or chip every week/10 days.
Letting them recover now and will use old-school
polish for a long while- my wallet needs to recover too.
Best, best manicure I’ve had, and I’ve had many around the world was in Santiago de Chile. Lasted abot 6 weeks looking immaculate. 💅🏻 but it’s a long way to go for nails! |

I am to hands on with work and destroy acrylics etc at moment I just have natural and maybe I paint them abit at times myself if needed usually when I fake tan up as the tan mouse stains nails  |

My nails are like that too. Having false ones would make them worse..and it's annoying because we have a nail artist in the family! |

Hands and feet are both manicured with French tips for the summer and will be manicured and dark red in the winter |

My toenails are painted a greeny shimmer colour.
My finger nails short and natural, I can't have long or painted fingernails due to work. It's too much of a pain to paint and remove constantly. So unless I have a long period of time off, I don't bother. |

I get a manicure every two weeks and a different colour each time
I've been through their entire colour palette over the years
Occasionally I get small minded bigoted comments from idiots but they don't bother me |

Don’t usually bother but for the first time in years I have acrylics and gel polish. And I went for a different style on 4 fingers - mostly they’re red, two are red tip and two have a cherry design on them. Really like them and can’t stop checking them out. |

I always have manicured painted nails. It’s my regular treat to myself
Never had acrylics either always my own nails thankfully they’re quite strong and don’t snap easily

Get my nails done about every two weeks. Is a treat from me to me as I’m usually the one looking after every one else. But they have to be gels because I’m clumsy
Currently a Turquoise and mustard kinda colour as I never have one colour.

I like mine manicured, but I just bought a new Bass and the nail striking the strings makes a terrible racket, so they are shorter than is comfortable for me, but I value tone over comfort all day long. |

At the moment it’s just a subtle French pedicure on my toes. My fingernails however need to recover from excessive gel treatment abuse. They’re staying natural for now — until after my holiday, when I fully intend to make them pretty again.  |

I usually get a hard gel manicure and a fun polish or design every month
I destroyed them by nervously picked and pulling at them when I was on a very bumpy flight a few weeks ago and my nail tech told me to let them heal before she did them again
Longest 3weeks every my hands looked horrible and hated having no nails

My nails are incredibly weak so I have BIAB/gel nails every three weeks.
I've had to go four weeks this time round and the re-growth is driving me more crazy than if the manicure had chipped!
The only time I'm never with a gel manicure is if I'm having a medical procedure that dictates bare nails. But you can guarantee that within hours of it being removed I'll be back to having nails that look like I've tried to scramble up the side of mountain. |

I go to the nail salon every 4 weeks for gel biab infills. Basically it's a strong gel put on my own nails to strengthen them.
Currently I have them at a medium/short length and painted in a lavender colour with a cats eye shimmer. They use a magnet to lift the metallic particles to create a shimmer effect when I move my fingers.

It's just whatever takes my fancy on the day and what I haven't had in a while, unless I have an occasion I want to match too |
