This. I delete messages from burds all the time for many reasons. I never need a reply to messages I send and I don’t feel the need to send one in reply. |

So many people will use it as an excuse to try to change your mind, to beg, to plead, or to abuse you. Just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
The "no reply is a reply" is part of the culture here, it's in the FAQ. |

It is different for men though, we get fewer messages so replying to them all isn't a ballache, and women tend not to pester so much so a 'no thanks' is generally the end of it. |

Just like humans on Fab write messages, or prompt chatbots, to send to every woman with a pulse within hundreds of miles.
Many messages are indistinguishable from spam, and received at a rate that cannot be replied to. And if you do reply - at least your local chippy takes no for an answer. |

Nope. Just means I’m not for them and that’s life. The best thing to do if it bothers you is to delete all your sent messages as soon as you send them. That way you won’t be rueing what could have been. |

I don't send messages exclusively because I'm into someone. Sometimes, it's just to say that I liked his/her story or post or photo Or it's just a comment about their new statement. I'm not in a constant hunter mood.

Sometimes. If I’ve engaged with a woman or couple and they stop responding to messages I generally delete the conversation and block them on the assumption that they don’t want to talk any further, it saves me bothering them again by accident. |

I ignore winks but I'll answer messages from anyone even if I'm not interested; let's face it, unlike women and couples on here, I'm never snowed under with mail so if someone has taken time to message me, I always make time to reply, even if it's just a simple "thanks but no thanks" type of message. |

If I ever get a message from a female then I’ll be able to answer this. In all honesty though, I tend to reply to most messages that I get, unless it’s a faceless Hi or Hey. Those ones I tend to just leave unread and move on. Lol |

When women have sent me crass or offensive messages I've deleted them. It's perfectly acceptable to do so.
Thankfully such messages are a rare occurrence. The nice messages outweigh the unimaginative ones. |

It happens, even men have standards 
I would say I get a reply on 95% of my messages but then I don't just message Willy nilly.
Those that open and ignore my message are letting me know they aren't interested and that's fine. |

I get very few messages from women but when I do I always reply..never had any offencive messages front them either,so I appreciate the fact they've taken the time to send it...BUT if iam on here after midnight/ pubs closing the amount of grief I get from guys ( I have no doubt iam not the only one) is unbelievable and not hard to think they dont get meets..those messages get deleted and usually a block..and dont feel guilty at all. |

Over the years I've deleted or ignored lots of messages from women and couples.
Some of them introduce themselves with instructions or demands and others aren't capable of more than a "hi".
Is it rude or offensive to not reply?

Of course it’s acceptable, I genuinely think they’d expect me not to reply to most the trash I get sent, when people get offended because they don’t get a reply just take a step back and think, no reply is a reply, if you don’t understand that … well that sounds like a you problem 🤷🏻♂️ |

It’s different for men, we don’t get 100+ messages a day.
Without being in the forum I would get maybe 1 message every 6 months.
I have noticed since posting in the forum women do randomly message me saying they agree with my posts etc the first few times I replied but they never seem to reply back to that so now I have stopped bothering and find it quite odd really |

This platform has had "not replying isn't rude" in the FAQ for longer than I've been here.
Whiny, petulant overgrown children who come into a space, claim the rules of the space don't apply to them, and demand the space change for them - I think they're the problem in this and every space.
I also find they're the ones who bristle at boundaries - on here, that's an automatic red flag. It's also as attractive as an oozing genital sore. |

A no reply or a read message that's deleted is a reply & part n parcel of this Jungle, l even have it on my profile that if a person isn't interested , for whatever reason, let it Slide .
A lady doesn't reply because 1..shes not interested
2.she doesn't want to open up the door to allow a complete stranger to follow up his text .
3.she doesn't want to .
It's easy tbh , & my take on it is don't be a pain in the butt to them & bombard them with messages when you KNOW you didn't get a reply..let it slide . |

Well tbh if I get any messages from women I do reply back. I’m yet to receive any out of the blue it’s always by myself messaging first. Then after a couple of messages all going well it goes blank on their side. So myself I just block them. I look at profiles if I like sent them message if no response leave it a day or two I block.

The ladies get hundreds of messages every day. It is a headache for them trying to pick the good ones out of that pile, let alone deal with the bruised ego's of the unworthy. Leave it a while and introduce yourself again in a few weeks. If one can't handle that injustice then just block the arrogant female and be done with it. |

Women aren't stupid. They're fully capable of using an "🖕🏻" if they feel inclined to do so. (Most) women aren't ungracious either — I suspect a 'do nothing approach' (no reply) is their safest and most benign option. Any form of response, be it an emoji or written, will probably invoke further messages from men, pestering them needlessly. |
