Ok, so before anyone jumps all over me and has a rant, this has occurred a few times recently. But it’s not been the norm!
I’v had a few encounters with females and couldn’t help but notice that their vaginas smelt quite bad. Now is this due to a health issue, not cleaning correctly, maybe a reaction to the type of shower gels?
I’m not talking about ”normal” smell, one that majority of ladies have once aroused.
Would simply like to understand, as one is a FWB and I’m quite concerned. Yeah I’m sure someone will pipe up “it’s raw meat”
Well please save yourself the trouble! I’m genuinely concerned and looking for females, maybe males who may know and could offer advice.
I’m confident to have the chat with her, but would like to have some ideas, cures, to offer her.

If it’s “fishy”, it could be bacterial vaginosis. But basically we’re not doctors and neither are you. I would suggest you very gently and tactfully say that they smell different to how they usually do and that it might be a good idea to get checked at the GP |

I've come across this a couple of times, I suggested to them both that they get a smear test, if I remember correctly (it was a long time ago) they had 'abnormal cells' which was quickly and successfully dealt with. She's probably aware of it, she just needs a gentle push to get it looked at. |

Could be all manor of reasons,did your fwb always have this problem if not is it around her time of the month that can upset the hormones abd ph balance maybe get her to take a test with you to be safe and have one for BV.
And it doesn't just have to be sex that causes it it can happen for different reasons.
Some women can just smell or taste different to others...I've been lucky tbh that all the women apart from one I've been with smelt good but I wouldn't say she was bad just strong it's hard to explain. |

None of us are medically qualified to answer but I can try give you some insight
It’s likely got fucking nothing to do with her hygiene. Vaginas are pretty efficient af self cleaning and the vulva is simple wash in the shower.
Now that’s out of the way here are some possibilities
Do you go bare with these ladies? Semen smells. Spunk also has a very different PH to the vagina and can throw her ph off.
Once that happens it’s a slippery slope to bacterial vaginosis if not caught early and rebalanced
The thing is, it’s mainly the dudes who carry extra BV causing flora in their penile micro biomes causing recurrent repeating infections. So if she’s treating herself, so must YOU.
Other causes can include hormones, thrush, food, sweat, and sti including tricho etc
Best to talk to her gently and remember it may well turn out to be something that you have contributed to so go get yourself tested too

The thing I've noticed about a "female vagina smell" thread is that you can smell it while you're reading the thread. In that way, it's similar to reading a thread about creosoting the fence.

It could be bacterial vaginosis which is caused by a number of things like a recent course of antibiotics or simply washing with scented products.

The terminology can come naturally to those who work a lot with connectors.
However, connectors can often be cotentious to assign gender to. Normally if it goes in, it's male but some female connectors go in like a male even though they are receptacles.
Years ago some plastic connectors which used powdered milk as a bulking agent used to smell like rotting pudenda after a while.. ..ceiling light fittings particularly. If they happened to be in a lady's bedroom, doubts could get raised! |

PH balance can cause an odour if it's too acidic/alkaline.
You can get sprays in the supermarket to neutralise the balance.
Or season her fanny with malt vinegar or lemon juice - both quite acidic. |
