I consider myself old school with regards to this but I’m finding more and more new members refuse to send their face pics in the messages when trying to arrange a hook or meet

Refuse to send face pic after you spoken to the and have a good connection before s meet? Yeah there a red flag !

Face pics are always good, but I have been attracted to profiles quite a few times without seeing a picture of their face. Sometimes, a witty profile and good photos are enough to spark an instant attraction, making me want to meet that person face to face for a social meet. |

If they cant share face pics, then its the end of the conversation.
Its always people that ask for yours as well....but can't return them. Then really try and reassure they're genuine lol. |

Personally I don't hide my face on my profile, so never an issue with people not knowing who they are talking with😃
But yes it would be a red flag if someone who doesn't show there face on their profile. Especially if you have been chatting and are arranging a meet😜
But each to their own, people should never do something they don't want to or are not ready to do. Respect and good communication is key😀 |

I can be attracted to someone solely based upon their profile and a connection through exchanging messages, and can know I want to meet them based on that, but I would never consider taking it further without a video call on WhatsApp. It doesn't neccessarily matter what they look like. What's the need of a good looking face, when all I'm gonna do is sit on it?
What does really rip my knitting are the ones who send a face pic and they have the "You'd be lucky to fuck me" attitude. |

I always have a video call. If someone can’t do this it’s unlikely they can even meet in my view. Only time I go outside of this is if I am going to meet at a club / sauna as then I am going to meet them
Specifically so I have immediate options at hand regardless to not waste my time. |

Absolutely not a chance without face pic's had a few messages this week from profiles who categorically state on their bio they won't send face pictures.. 🤷
Conversely we state they're a must, so they evidently didn't read about us! 🙄 |

I’ve met people without face photos in the past, and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Some of the best looking people on here don’t show their face for fear of screenshotting etc.
But I wouldn’t meet people with zero photos at all. That’s totally different. |

Timing.
Don't ask for face pics until both parties have committed but the face pic will be the final decider. If anyone insists on a pic as soon as they start to chat i'd back off.
I've NEVER sent a face pic ever. None of you have it. It won't end up anywhere. It's never been in the ether. I USE LIVE CAM. and expect to see a live cam of the other party.
BUT- no view - no meet. Simple. |

We like to share face pics early on in conversation - looks are part of a whole package that we look for in protective play partners.
We also like to have a group chat and video call so we can all relax knowing there is at least an attraction and everyone is who they say they are and enthusiastically consenting 😊 |

I don't know whether you're in the minority or majority but I've not chatted with anyone without swapping pics let alone arranged to meet. 🤷♀️ I do fab the way I'm comfortable doing it. Anyone who doesn't do it my way isn't compatible. That's an easy filter. |

I pass on people who insist on seeing a face picture with a first message. With the amount of fake profiles around you never know who you are sending it to. But yes i would expect one, and would send one if we started to chat and all get on. |

I definitely need to see who I’m meeting and I’d prefer they see me too. It puts me more at ease. I’m too insecure to meet people not knowing if they’re physically attracted to me in some way. |

I won't send mine first, but yes essential pre-meet, and pretty important after the first few messages.
Being blocked after I send it stings a little but can you imagine the awkwardness of arriving in person and watching him run away? 😂 |

From what I've read on this thread so far I'm going to go against the grain yet again.
I'm not attracted to 2D images on a screen and I've chatted to and met numerous women without knowing what they looked like beforehand.
I always meet for a social first time and I've met quite a few knowing that we weren't sexually compatible but they seemed like decent humans and I was happy to meet up anyway just for a face to face chat.
Sometimes we might exchange a pic once we've agreed to meet just so that we would recognise each other but quite often no pics were exchanged.
I've seen comments on here before claiming that people willing to meet without sharing face pics aren't fussy and will shag anyone but I call bs on that one because I'm so fussy I don't rely on a photo to gauge attraction.
I haven't had a single no show or been disappointed in 10 years here so I won't be changing my approach now.
So to answer your question op, no they aren't essential. |

I gave up blind dates when camera phones first came out.
Years ago I arranged to meet a guy in a pub in town. I didn't know what he looked like but there was a group of guys sat in the corner watching me and laughing. My date was a no-show. Now I only meet at my place and if I've not seen a full body naked photo with face I'm not meeting. |

Yup. There are lots of reasons a face pic might not be public, but if you aren't willing to share privately it raises a few 🚩.
And at the end of the day, a face is a big part of whether I'm attracted to someone or not... |

If someone refuses to send a face pic, after a while of chatting, i'd stop engaging.
It's not blind date and I'm not going to waste time carrying on taking to someone, with a view to meeting, if I have no idea there will be any attraction.
Years ago a man told me I don't need to see him to meet him. He may not care what people look like, but it matters to me, I need to see and like their face. |

Unrealistic to expect a meet without exchanging face pics ... Unless it's a totally anonymous meet agreed by all or glory hole situation...
Then again, people will send a face pic that's from their better days to lure you in ! |
