So I find myself slightly confused by this one…
Profiles that say they’re looking for men but then they have blocked men from messaging.
Would I be right in thinking they do want to meet men but want to reach out on their terms a reduce the barrage of messaging ??

It could mean a variety of things —
They're taking a break or focusing on new/existing conversations whilst their inboxes are (temporarily) 'restricted', or perhaps they open their filters periodically at their discretion or they instigate conversations on their terms. |

You can’t send a wink.
But if she sends you a wink it means you can now get through those filters. So if someone with that set up winks you it means they want you to get in touch! |

We want to meet single guys, decent ones who can read profiles as well as look at photos. When we open up messaging from single guys it's like a mud slide of bilge & we close it again quickly, there really are a whole lot of cretins on here.
Yes we want to meet single guys, but we'll look for them from now on. |
