I am not. I dont need much to be happy. I have everything I need, of course. I do get new things, but I dont spend money if I dont have to.
It would be itenresting to see if you are a materialistic person, do you need a lot of things to be happy or are you like me and dont need so many things? |

No. As long both we & our house are tidy enough & we have enough money to enjoy ourselves, gigs, meals out & travelling (& swingers clubs lol) we’re happy.
Couldn’t give a feck about conspicuous consumption really. |

I invest my money into experiences, travelling and my hobbies. Materialistic stuff like shoes and handbags make no sense to me, its a waste of money and I'd much rather spend it on something I enjoy.
Men's wealth or gift receiving doesn't really interest me either. |

"Are you a materialistic person?"
No, but I like my house, my holiday home, my £124,550 luxury camper van, my £2,618.16 Lalique salt and pepper shaker (which is better than my £526.03 Peugeot Saveurs salt and pepper mills),my £3,500 Hamilton & Inches silver wine coaster, my choice of coffee makers (best is £3,232 Jura GIGA 5, though I feel the £1,866 Jura machine is more aesthetically pleasing than the £2,595), not convinced about the Smythson tea set (£2,995) given i don't like tea), oh, I could go on, but as I said, I am not materialistic...

"I wouldn't say I was. I'm not into fancy labels and brands, and don't tend to buy things for the sake of it..just when I need it. Apart from lingerie ..I'm a bit of a bugger for that. "
And worth every penny
Spent a small
Fortune on it myself over the years
First name germ with the shop assistants
When I lived in the city |

Not especially.
However I am a great believer in buy cheap buy twice, so when it comes to my hobbies or significant purchases I do research and seek out quality, in some areas of life ( especially golf) I do have “trusted brands” that I tend to stick to. |

I am absolutely materialistic - nearly everything I buy is form over function. Flashing lights? Sign me up. Nice colours? I’m all over it. Useless tatt? Most definitely. The worst kind of impulsive I am
It’s why I struggle to save… |

I’m like this with sequins and sparkles.
If it has sequins or sparkles on it then best believe I’m buying it!

I'm not a materialistic person at all. I could quite happily live without much.
I actually don't own huge amounts, I'm not into clutter and defo prefer to keep my money over buying crap that just takes up space haha. |

I guess I am materialistic, spending makes me happy , as long as iv paid my bills , put some aside for savings I'll just blow what's left , inlove eating out , I like buying clothes. Nice cars and holidays
Each to there own I guess but don't see the point in working and not enjoying the benefits

With over 40 hobbies, and multiples of them being in the craft and building variety you might think so but no, not really. If you make stuff you need tools, if you skate you need boots, if you weave you need threads...etc etc...the materials build up. But i'm not materialistic.

I had sweet fuck all for many many years. Literally went without. Then found myself with more money left over after I'd paid all my bills. I'm still not materialistic. But I do appreciate quality over quantity. |

Back in Surrey, Dahlings! |
I have been in the past.
But now I don’t give a fig. For me a house it’s a box of bricks and mortar who probably will end up with someone I have no connection to in 50 years from now. I have no desire to have a massive luxury house.
Cars- same. They get you from A to B. The 2 we have are cute, around 10 years old on average and still running fine.
Clothes- I have very few high end garments, but I will happily wear things from Primark or supermarket brands if I like them. Same with accesories. I don’t really wear jewelry.
So now I am not materialistic at all. I am all about making memories as that is all I am taking with me. |
