Who is the famous person you’ve met?

Were they nice or a pain in the backside?

And how did you come to meet them?

Have met quite a lot over the years. Can’t think of any that stand out as horrible. I had a run-in with Craig Charles once but he apologised a little while later.

One amazing human being I met was the singer Amp Fiddler. Truly just one of the nicest human beings ever. His band were also really, really nice.

Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters in Iceland before a festival.

He was with his family so didn’t want to stop him so just said “Hey Dave, hope you’re well” as I passed him. He immediately stopped thanked me for asking, introduced me to his family and spoke for a good 10/15minutes then offered to get some pics.

Bumped into Daniel Craig coming out of our local Co-op, I said sorry and he smiled at me and said 'it's fine, you look in a hurry"

Literally walked right into him, I didn't recognise him but noticed he looked familiar, I remember thinking how lovely his eyes were and as for his aftershave...It wasn't until I got home and someone on social media said they saw him it clicked

Casino Royale hadn't long been released....His Dad lived local to me and he was down here visiting

Richard Burns - Subaru Impreza rally driver, lovely guy, he and his team came into the pub I worked in for food after visiting his family who lived local. I stole his Subaru hat and told him he had to kiss me to get it back, I had my kiss and kept the hat

Got to know Guy Martin after following the Superbikes, he started to recognise me, always lovely to chat too and he was great with my boys who were small but loved watching the motorbikes, I have pictures of my kids sat on his bike with him stood next to them behind the barriers in the pit.

Uli Roth of the Scorpions and his Daughter were at my Son's wedding, my boy was in School with her and we got to know the family well. Lovely

Katie Price was in my village, she loves the local log cabin park. I saw her getting out of her car at the train station. She's lovely, I asked if she liked our area and she said it was her go to place when she needed quiet

The guy who played Boycie from only Fools and Horses, he used to be a regular at the Pub a member of my family ran, my Father in Law was the chef and Boycie loved his cooking

Roy Wood Wizard was my Dad's drinking buddy whenever Dad went to his hometown

I met Shawn Michaels at a restaurant once - we’d accidentally been given his table. Apparently he was fond of the restaurant and had a specific table he liked, and the management had messed up and gotten their days wrong, (it was Tuesday and they thought he was coming on Thursday or something like that). Anyway, the manager, completely embarrassed (this is a pretty nice restaurant) comes by and says “I’m so sorry, but we’d like to move you to another table if you could be troubled, and we’ll gladly compensate you for the cost of the meal and any other meal you’d like while you’re in town.” My sister and cousin were both like “Yeah that’s cool.” and I kind of played the asshole a bit. “I’m sorry, I just don’t understand. We’ve been here for 15 minutes - we’ve just ordered. Can’t we finish our meal here?” Then out of nowhere Shawn Michaels shows up next to the manager and says “Paul, these guys can finish. We’ll be at the bar. I got some time.” And I (being a big HBK fan) said “Oh wow, uh… I had no idea. Please feel free to give them the table.” Shawn was grateful, shook my hand and said thanks, then gave me a card with his number on it and told me to give him a call later. After working up the nerve, I gave him a call that night, and to make a long story short, we had a glorious 11 month love affair, man on man, that I shall never forget. Our bodies intertwined as one, and from the beauty of Morocco, to the French Riviera, to the snorkeling in the Galopagos, Shawn Michaels and I made glorious gay love to each other on six of the seven continents

I've worked with Simon Pegg, Timothy Dalton, Bill Nighy, Olivia Coleman, Nick Frost, Jessica Stevenson/Heinz, Jim Broadbent, Penelope Wilton and a number of others.

Did a few Comicon-type conventions, but never really bothered meeting many of my fellow guests, as you know they're as miserable as you are, and just want to get away from meeting the public!

OK, it was really cool to work with Tim Dalton (including being greeted with an "Ey-up" at the start of the working day) the only person I was star-struck by was a very odd choice: it was the actor who was the voice of Scott Tracy in the 60s Thunderbirds series, but he was in just about ever film franchise of the 70s/80s (Bond, three of the Superman films, etc).

I'm happy to be away from the movie crap, as it really saps away at you.

Teignmouth

James Hewitt. My first wife was horsey and we were at a wedding anniversary party for her ex employer.

Patrick Moore on a train at Truro and all the famous ITV wrestlers at a wrestling evening in Penzance, mid seventies. Big Daddy, Haystacks, Sid Cooper etc.

Jen Saunders was on my parcel route in Chagford, Devon. Never saw Ade.

When I lived in Dawlish I used to chat to this group of lads from Teignmouth after their gigs at a small pub called The Teignmouth Inn. Eventually they stopped playing there, not sure if they made it, Muse they were called.

"Who is the famous person you’ve met?

Were they nice or a pain in the backside?

And how did you come to meet them? "

Quite a few over the years, from Royalty to politicians to celebs. The two that always spring to mind was chef Keith Floyd asking me for the time in Heathrow airport as I actually had one of his books (a gift for my mum) in my hand luggage. Another time I was having a drink at the bar in a London hotel and got talking to a very nice American gentleman. We chatted maybe an hour until his friends turned up and off he went. It was only after the bartender smirked to me that my new drinking buddy was the actor James Coburn.

There may only be one ‘s’ in Tesco, but an ‘s’ after an apostrophe doesn’t denote a pluralisation, its use is to denote ownership or the lack of letters due to an abbreviation.

He may have got it wrong but so did you. Perhaps the next time you decide to pick on someone’s punctuation skills you should first check you know what you’re talking about. Or maybe just accept there are people for whom language skills are not a strength and try to be pleasant and inclusive.

Thanks as always for bringing negativity to the forums, you’re a joy to experience

When filming Some mothers in Bedford. Michael and Michelle were often seen around. The house he demolished was my nans that they were knocking down anyway. Michael opened a couple of Chinese takeaways and the like. I was a child and I’d always manage to get an autograph. Spent a day working with him- spent the whole day laughing. Absolutely lovely bloke, not at all celeby- just 100% how he was on telly/radio. He'd have probably found it most amusing.

Have pretty much met 100's cos of work. Most famous is probably Prince- who was a strange little man to deal with. Most are fairly normal and either off in their own little work bubble or just sort of slot in with everyone else working, so you just do your thing and they do theirs. Sometimes you chat due to work, sometimes you just waffle as you're both stood round in the same place.

Only times i'm really got remotely star struck was interviewing F1 driver John Alesi as i was a huge F1 fan and the time i walked through a door and pretty much came face to face with Trent Reznor waiting to go on stage...which was to be one of the best gigs i've ever seen.

Served Guy Richie a beer (not his brand) at Badbury Rings Point to Point. Ignorant, barely interacted with anyone outside his group of toadies.

Met the cast of Star Trek The Next Generation (all except LeVar Burton & Jonathan Frakes) over the course of 20yrs. All great, Patrick Stewart is a charmer & Brent Spinner should have been a stand-up comedian.

Served Valeria "DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM" Singleton at a service station back in the 1990s. Obnoxious bitch, and actually used that line when we didnt have the newspaper she wanted, no surprise she reads the Daily Heil.

Sylvester Stallone - was an extra in judge dread, took him 3 hours to practice saying ‘I am the law’ while we all sat around waiting, he was a bit of a dick & his mum is super scary looking!

Angelina Jolie- I was an extra in hackers & she asked me about my eyebrows, she wasn’t well known then at all & seemed sweet

Kylie manogue- she wanted to enter a shop my friend run at the time, but closing up & she pulled the ‘do you know who I am’
