I find it rude when people have loud phone conversations for the entire journey on public transport. |

All that said i'm one of those odd people that wont speak on a phone on a train, i just say i'll call you back.
And those people who talk on trains via earphones / headsets.... 🤬

If it is my children, hell yeah I am answering. If it will take a few minutes I will excuse myself and come back.
Anyone rlse can wait. And if it is an emergency they will keep calling. |

Depends which restaurant and who you are with. If it's a quiet place with people having intimate conversations I'd say a definite yes. Go into the bathroom and call them back if it's important, and have your phone on vibrate.

I am a carer for my mum so always have my phone with me. I would always answer if it rang in case she had another fall or took unwell. I would apologise before answering my phone but expect the person I am with to be understanding of my situation. |

My phone very rarely rings so if it’s not a number I recognise then no. If it’s someone I know, then there really must be an issue as my friends know I communicate mostly over text…. Calling me means there’s an emergency and I’ll answer, while excusing myself outside for a moment |

Depends on the restaurant, depends on the company
If it’s a proper date. No, the person opposite is my main focus.
Curry with mates, maybe.
But I rarely get phone calls, or go out for meals, so it’s not really an issue for me. |
