Would you be put off

Probably not.
When I was in my 20’s and new (and lonely) in London I visited a few massage parlours.
Even then though if I had any inkling they were coerced or unhappy I wouldn’t follow through.
Everyone has needs and desires and as long as the sex worker is doing their job willingly and consensually they can provide an essential service. |

This is exactly my thoughts. I've read too many trafficking books! |

It's a difficult question to answer so I'll say it depends.
I understand that some sex workers do it for the lifestyle it provides them. They make good money and are quite happy with their job.
There's the other side of the coin however where women are coerced into sex work, doing it to make ends meet because they're desperate and other reasons. That's all a bit....i wouldn't feel good having sex with someone who thinks thats ok. |

It wouldn’t put me off, but it comes down to differences between how men see sex and how women see sex.
I’ve never heard of a woman offering a crack head £20 to eat her out, but I know one bloke who offered a crack head £20 to eat her out
We are not the same. |

Yes but maybe not for the reasons that others are put off.
I joined here to meet women on a similar journey to my own.
That means they've had limited sexual experiences but while enjoying sex they don't need it and it's not a priority.
That wouldn't fit with someone who would meet a professional just to satisfy a particular urge. |

"Think its a difficult question to answer , we can all have a idea what we would say , but when it comes to the crunch it would depend on alot of thingsx"
My thoughts exactly. Depends on who with. As many sex workers do work independently and use the industry like a business. But on the flipside there's many trafficked girls in the UK from countries like Vietnam, Nigeria, Romania etc. |

I’d have questions, but it wouldn’t automatically put me off.
For me, the biggest one is whether the people they saw were properly able to make their own choices. No trafficking, coercion, exploitation or circumstances where addiction or similar vulnerabilities meant they couldn’t really consent.
I’d also ask the same sexual health questions I’d ask any prospective partner. Was protection used? Have they been tested since? If so, when?
It’s also worth remembering that sex worker covers a huge range of professions. Not all sex work involves penetrative sex, or even any sexual contact at all. For example many pro Dommes fall under the sex work umbrella, but many don’t offer sex in the conventional sense.
So for me, it would depend on their reasons, the choices they made and the circumstances that led them there. |

If it happened before we met, then no, it would not be a problem. Personally I've only wanted to have sex with someone that wanted to have sex with me, so I've never entertained the thought of being with a sex worker. Everyone is different though and I don't judge the profession or those that use it. |

Hmm yes it would put me off. For me, sex (and the enjoyment I get from it) is about intimacy, passion, attraction and connection. I wouldn’t be interested in someone who viewed sex as something they were willing to reduce to a transaction simply because they wanted sex badly enough.
In the same way, I wouldn’t be compatible with someone who would sleep with absolutely anyone just for a quick fuck. People have the right to make their own choices, but standards around sex matter to me, and I need them to matter to a partner too. |

Articulated this better than I could and I agree.
Nice to see you on here. Been a while. |

I whole heartedly agree |

You see, NOW at this stage in my life I agree with you.
But when I replied earlier in this thread I said that in my early 20s when I first moved to London I did use a few massage parlours.
At the time I had moved away from home and where I went to Uni for my first proper job, and I was incredibly isolated and lonely for the first year / year and a half, didn’t really have any (local) friends and rarely got out other than to go to work (and worked long hours).
I was absolutely craving some form of intimacy so that scratched an itch and kind of kept me sane until I was able to form some proper relationships and was able to wean off it.
So I hear what you’re saying, but can also see it from a different perspective too. |

I would not be put off at all.
.
If anything, I'd be pleased that they proactively identified a need and took steps to satisfy that need.
.
Taking the time to introspect and understand our wants and needs is really important in our own journeys of self-awareness and realisation. |

I dated a sex worker for a while, many many years ago. She was open with me about her job right from the start, I decided to be open-minded about it. We had a fun few months and parted on good terms.
I … don’t think I would do it again. Different times, and all that. |

It's too easy to say 'no' as a knee jerk moralistic knee jerk.
There may be many things you'd need to take into account
If it's just the sex that makes you object there's no difference to having sex six times and being paid for it or having sex six time for free.
It's the person that matters
So .... in my final analysis - what type of sex worker / human being? |

"My question is why are they telling you that in the first place ?
I would need to know the contacts of this information being given. "
Fair point I have been er met someone and gave them give me a run down on the people they have slept with. |

My boyfriend saw a sex worker in Netherlands once and I just sat outside with a coffee, I didn't mind at all.
I'm a sex worker and none of my actual partners care that's what I do. I think there are good reasons to care and to not care if someone has had sex with a sex worker. It's not the shame that it used to be |

I wouldn't give anyone a run down of people I have had sex with. I wouldn't ask for the body count either. |

Without going into detail, it was someone telling me what a great time they'd recently had in a famous red light district, abroad..
Had only exchanged a few messages. I really didn't need to know. |

Ok that kinda of behaving of having to tell you would put me off meeting them. No discretion and being another one of his conquest no thanks. |
