Nish Kumar - The funniest thing he ever did was to get hit in the head with a bread roll.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of most modern comedians and the glaring disparity between the standard of comedy today as opposed to in the past becomes pellucidly apparent when comparing the likes of Kumar to comedy greats such as Bob Monkhouse, Jasper Carrot etc. |

"Rosie Jones. I know it's partly not her fault, but the audience waits 3 times as long for her to say something not funny."
She can be funny (taskmaster) but probably not ideal for stand-up or panel shows |

All of the people that are not subjectivley funny to me / are subjectivley funny to me.
Comedy taste is subjective to the individual, the time..people at some point in the mists of time must have thought Jim Davidson was funny
I find people who are being dead serious about their views these days often funnier than real satire, because they're not in on the joke they're telling about themselves

Ahhh no, but I love Bish! I met him at a Jack Whitehall gig once (he was sat, like, 3 seats away from me!), had my photo with him and everything! He smelled AMAZING 🥵😭

"Roy 'chubby' Brown
Jethro
"
Chubby Brown was very popular with when I was school, my brother had one of his videos but I just didn't get it.
Never seen Jethro apart from the little bit that was on his telly adverts years ago. It was enough for me not to explore further. |

Humour is subjective just like sexuality. Each ones perspective is just as individual as the person themselves so what you find funny/sexy others won't and don't. Humour is fluid too and changes.
Now I can't stand Ricky Gervais, generally, yet he's done some funny stuff. He also has a team of writers working with him so it's his collective that gets a thumbs down. each one has a damn sight more tin than I'll ever have and we're talking about them not them about us so they're doing something right. I'll agree with whoever about Rosie Jones though, I just can't understand her. There's probably humour there but exactly where I don't know. |

What's wrong with Rosie Jones apart from everything ? I did like her series recently so she went up in my estimation but as a stand up .... NO!
Millican I agree awful.
Frankie Boyle is just sublime..... love him |

Plus Alex Brooker and that Josh Widdocombe. Painful bores. "
You left out the Australian ... he is NOT funny . I can never understand why people watch the last leg and it's even harder for me to understand why people tolerate Alex Brooker.. he's an arsehole |

One of the funniest men , but it's just my opinion was Bob Monkhouse. Met him in a hotel in Crick. He finished his meal and came into the night lounge and entertained us for a couple of hours for free. Any topic his whit was so fast and sharp. Worst was Bernard Manning, pig ignorant arrogant arsehole. Screamed at everyone to fuck off. |

3 times as long is very kind of you. Add to that her pronunciation and hey !
Nothing against her personally but things are not funny if your delivery is shite.
Should the whole nation be more patient when they've come to be entertained ?
Of course not. |

Even if her material was told by any other comedian it would still be shit material. No one else breaking into comedy would get even a fraction of the attention she does with her jokes. |

"I find original wit and observational comedy that doesn't rely on putting one group of people down to raise other groups up the funniest.
Very few comedians possess the ability to do either "
Agreed. It's easy to make fun of peoples' differences, and call it humour when it's no better than bullying. |

When it comes to funny. Jim jefferies nearly had me wetting myself at one of his live shows. You can't find him offensive because most of his act is about his own life experiences, politicians who deserve ripping on & stupid people in general. Seen him twice now. Think he's great. |

"Ok then slight twist, who is funny?
Jeff Innocent
Mike Read was quite funny in a blue un-pc way"
I was given a ticket to see Mike Reid in Tunbridge Wells before he got the part in Eastenders, there were 40 people in a venue that holds over 800. He came on (late!) & said "fuckin popular ain't I?"
Then got us all to sit together in a lage group, with him sitting among us cracking joke after joke. Brilliant night, he was superb.
He came back a few years later but I couldn't get a ticket after he signed up for Eastenders. |

"Rosie Jones. I know it's partly not her fault, but the audience waits 3 times as long for her to say something not funny." got to agree, and I sometimes wonder whether or not she plays up her disability for attention. In panel shows you can often see her looking around to see how she can get the most attention.

Comedy is tough these days due to sensitivity of content may offend.
Taking that into account, Tim Vine for his mastery of pun. "Dad" level jokes but hilarious.
Velcro. What a rip off.
I sold the vacuum cleaner. Well it was only good for gathering dust.
Crime in multi storey car parks. That's just wrong on all levels. |

"Michael boring Macintyre"
Awww you say this, but he once went on Graham Norton (I think it was) and retold a family story that resonated so much with me I was absolutely cackling. Tears running down my face and all!
Since then, I’ve had a soft spot.
My choice would be Stewart Lee, Lee Mack, Milton Jones.
Just not my type of humour. |

"Lee Evans, Mickey Flanagan, Sarah Millican, Richard ayoade, Noel fielding "
I love Noel Fielding. Watched a lot of the mighty boosh. Can clearly tell how he loves pink Floyd. His style is Syd Barrett and the artwork is pink in the wall. He has a great sense of humour and most of what he does or says is funny.
That said Sarah millican is awful. Always banging on about her "nunny" and Micky Flanagan is a dick |

Don't even think it's 'his' standup. Team of writers supporting his and daddy's desire for him to be famous |

Agree! He was funny originally but his act never changes , lisping posh boy with tales about mummy and daddy. His attempts to break into film have been embarrasing..... So unfunny |

He was the highest grossing comedian in the world at one point. He's worth more than many hollywood actors.
I don't mind him, preferred the likes of Sean Locke as he was absurdist, sharp, quick and occasionaly dark.
But MM appealed to a lot of people, and sold 700,000 tickets in 2012 alone. |

I think with Lee Evans, what appeals to me is the cartoon effect he has with his mannerisms as well as the comedy. It appeals to my wacky sense of humour. |

"Ellen degeneres
She’s not a comedian I have never laughed once at her "
She did stand up before she became an actress and TV host. I don't find her funny but I struggle with a lot of American stand ups, there are only a handful I've ever liked. |

Those is true. However I went to his gig and really struggled to find anything funny. The post is about personal opinion.
