Hi all
Openly fairly inexperienced on here.
But even a quick flick through a decent handful of profiles, and I have to say it’s couples on the whole, have very obviously AI generated backgrounds at least to photos. Yet they are at least photo verified. I’m sure it’s not beyond the realms of possibility with AI what it is that these could get past the photo verification process.
What are people’s thoughts on this? |

There are loads of AI photos on profiles that are photo verified, it's not just the backgrounds that are altered either. Some people don't even know they are AI pics. It looks like you can tell, unfortunately many believe what they're seeing. |

"The best ones are the pictures with the AI logo in the bottom right hand corner from the site they've used.
I've seen a few of these recently
I know those do make me chuckle 🤣"
One of them, the guy was at the fucking Oscars on the red carpet with the photographs in the background 🤣🤣🤣 |

AI will ruin this place eventually. It's already bad enough for fake profiles or people trying to promote content but not being upfront about it. This is the worst AI will ever be again. It will only get harder to tell. I have some red flags that I look out for already. Anybody who puts social medias in their profile is a good start. |

AI sucks I hate it, can honestly say I haven't seen any as of yet. They are fairly easy to spot though so it's about paying attention to what you're looking at and listening to you're gut feelings |

If it's just the background that is altered and not the person/ people in the photo surely that's okay? Some people might want to remove mess, or just feel a certain background looks nicer. If they're using AI on themselves then that's definitely an issue.
Even without using AI I notice some people use very heavy filters, and I end up wondering "do I look really haggard for 34, or has this very young looking person in their fifties had lots of botox/ used a lot of filters. I get that there are plenty of people who just have great genetics, though.
I'll be 35 next month so I'm having a bit of a mid life crisis! |

One woman posted an AI/Filtered video. But the first second was what she actually looked like before the filter kicked in, it was quite amusing! We saw her in a club a few years ago and she doesn't look like her photos or videos. |

"Some fabbers have the smoothest unblemished skin and the glossiest of hair imaginable "
And some post pictures from years ago and pass off as new.
I think AI is the least of the problems on here.

Won't be very long and all cameras and phones will embed a type of EXIF data that shows they are genuine and unedited using AI. It's happening already in many cameras and phones and many places I submit photographs to now require this.
So if you're using an unpatched phone or camera , old digital photographs, it will be assumed to be AI by default.
This is definitely the right way forward, rather than clients trying to determine if AI was used, the author has to prove it wasn't |
