How much effort did you put into making your profile?
It always surprises me when people complain they don’t get the results they want here (all genders) and then you look at their profiles and they’ve clearly made no effort to attract and support the interactions they are looking for. Some of the best profiles are the hidden ones with the silhouette avatars, they must meet the users expectations perfectly.
Profile is the easy part you only need to do it once just take some effort . Unlike messaging and interacting, if you have a good profile, it will work for you even when you’re not feeling like doing anything.
Sometimes I get messages really nice first messages that surprise me a little, look at the profile and think you’ve made no effort, maybe you’re entitled or just don’t get it. |

I’ve put a fair bit of effort into mine. It’s got humour, personality, interests and enough conversation starters to give people a feel for who I am. I’d rather be myself and risk putting a few people off than write what I think people want to hear. I’m too old to be blagging my way into someone’s knickers. x |

I have to rein in my waffling tendencies as I could write a novel-length one if I chose, and most who actually read profiles reckon some solid truthful detail crammed into a few paragraphs that you won't need to scroll is about right, so that's mine.
Bugbears for me about other people's are obviously those with no info, but then also the ones that look like they're written with AI doing the editing and that bland, superficially impressive style that actually says nothing. |

Ours started out a bit short and we've added more to it since getting the same questions over and over , we go back to it once in a while to add to it or remove/change parts. We know some will say its a long profile but we feel every part serves a purpose , it probably puts some off when they see it and can't be bothered to read through and that's fine it works as a filter, and let's be honest you could have a profile that says "we like sex" and people would still only look at your pictures. |

I would like to think I've made an effort in my profile.
But in terms of private meets, I've basically had no luck. Regardless of my profile content, pictures, message etc.
It's all been club meets, from which I would like to step back for a bit.
So something must be clearly wrong with my profile. |

I don't think that's necessarily true your profile seems fine , even as a couple we've had no meets from Fab , everyone we have met has been through clubs , a lot of people we talk to have said the same We just think Fab works for some and not for others , we use it now more for the forums and keeping up with people we have met. |

I tried to make an effort with mine. I try to have decent photos . It frustrates me when I get send 3 word messages from people who haven't even bothered to tidy up before they snap a pic or write anything about themselves.
Lazy profile, lazy lover springs to mind.

We often get told that our profile didn’t get read because it was too long, we are of the opinion that if someone can’t take 5 mins to read all of our profile why should we take any time to get to know them or get naked with them? We read each and every profile of anyone we engage with it’s not that difficult and stops us messaging or replying to people that are not for us ? |

Oh. Very little.
I realised long ago that meeting weirdos off here in private was a terrible game, so my profile only exists so I can see what's on at the clubs, be findable by people I meet there, fuck about on the forums, and vaguely amuse myself.
At this point it's a lot of 60 seconds or less additions all bundled together when something struck me to add either because I'm tired of something or amused by something 💜 |

"I find it hard to write about myself, its hard to sum up a personality in words I prefer actions "
I didn’t say it was easy…. That might be true but the first thing someone is gonna do when deciding whether to message you or message back is take a look at your profile, the actions will come after.

We do put effort and keep it updated. Shame that a lot of people are not willing to read it all and choose to ask us questions but the answers are already there.
We always check profiles and try our best not to waste people time.

I think some people have misunderstood. It’s not about writing a long profile although often long profiles are very good profiles its simply have you put the effort into your profile to match your expectations of what type of interactions you want from other members of the site.
I don’t think it matters that if 99% of men don’t read them, because most people are only interested in one percent or less of people here. You’re not writing your profile for the people that you don’t want to meet…. Have you put the effort in to engage the one percent that you might want to. |

Yes, I do think I've put in enough effort in my profile, and it's the same amount I expect back from the people I get in touch with.
Is it perfect? No. But chasing the perfect profile would drive a person mad.
However, that effort is very, very rarely reciprocated. |

I believe my profile tells you all you need to know about me to obtain a comprehensive knowledge of what I'm about.
People are lazy and don't read biopsy.
It pisses me off
Also it pisses me off thar straight men message asking to suck my cock.
When I challenge them that it's deceitful to women that they are obviously bi, they get pissy with me.
A little honesty goes a long way in my book
End of rant lol.. enjoy the site |

My profile text hasn't changed one iota since before covid because I haven't been meeting and therefore don't have a target audience.
If I was to start meeting again I wouldn't change anything about my profile because it represents me and what I am here for.
If that puts people off then it puts them off and I won't be trying to change their mind.
I made an effort with my pics and bio but I expect effort in return.
I have never and will never take advice on my profile because I'm not here to please everyone.
It's a take it or leave it situation and if someone is attracted to my pics or anything I've said in my bio they are going to have to work to get my attention and my profile as it is should leave them in no doubt about that. |

I've tried doing fab lots of ways. The serious bio. The list of what I want and don't want bio.
I've realised having a completely pointless one attracts the hot sexually deviant ones. |

My bio is pretty simple, straightforward and a bit fun
Some effort was put into it, mostly the pics
Always get asked if I’m telling the truth about the first line 🙄🙄
But it’s easier to be upfront
I’ve been really lucky with the connections I’ve made although a lot of people I’ve met at organised socials rather than them being attracted by my profile ☺️ |

I've put quite a bit of effort into my profile. I rarely change the bio text as what I'm looking for hasn't really changed but always keep on top of making sure pics are up to date, even if there is a danger of there being too many. |

Mine changes with my mood.
In the summer it was a bilingual affair, with detailed description of my wants and needs, and a handful of tasteful photos.
Current profile mood is "bog off leave me alone" 🤣 |

I tried to be very honest on mine. Being an older guy, it’s pointless trying to be some whipper snapper. Without listing all of my social interests, I tried to give a flavour of who you might be meeting. |

I'm more than content with my profile. It's come a long way from its initial genesis (of uselessness) to the current 'oeuvre' - an indication of how much effort I've put into it.
It serves me well and lives up to (my) expectations. |
