Anyone here with face tattoos?
Know anybody with face tattoos?
What is the the first thing that comes into your head when you see idiot with a face tattoo?
Personally I do have one on my face but it's white ink so you can't really see it. Some might say "what's the point, if you can't see it?" It's more because I know it's there. So just a few questions about people's opinions.
Oh and I'm aware I called myself a idiot and would this be considered fabicide? |

The ultimate has to be the US redneck who had a radio station logo and frequency tattoed across his forehead. He did it due to a promo by the station offering $100,000. They didn't pay up, he sued and lost. To make matters worse, the station then changed their frequency and name.
Last time i looked at Google Images of Bad Tattoos he was on the first page. Not a pretty site before his tattoo. |

In all honesty not keen though we do have a friend who has but he had a birth mark which he hated. |

Each to their own. From the ones that I have seen, all I can say is that some are less bad than others.
I'm happy to be convinced that there are others out there.
Just out of interest what did you have, how big is it and where on your face? None of my business, obviously, but a small white unicorn below an ear is different to a huge swastika on the forehead. |

Personally I dont like any tattoos that are visible...especially 'fashionable' ones...scribble on wrists ala Cheryl Cole, stars, mandarin etchings...
But I dont hear people with tatts moaning about my boring unpainted skin...so good luck to em, each to their own...
That said...tatts on the face??...no way!!, what are they trying to say about themselves for god sake????..They look about as appealing as love bites around the neck. |

Depends on what the person had tattoo'd on their face/ neck. If it was the C word across their forehead I might be a bit
Otherwise I'd just see how they acted and what they had to say. And make my mind up on them after that.
Love the idea of a white tattoo. |

Personally I love face tattoos. I think they are beautiful and take balls to do. Ironically most guys I've met with face tattoos are shy which you wouldn't expect. One of the most beautiful men I've ever seen had a tribal tattoo covering the right side of his face. I wanted to kiss him on the spot but he was just a stranger in a public space. |

Face tattoos look good on people who are meant to have them culturally, but for everyone else, fine for a while, until you get older and that face starts to sag like a Bloodhound... ...taking the drawings with it...
Face paint could be fun though.
I have met 1 man who had green ink tattoos all over his face, he didn't have a job and he was fed up with people staring at him all the time.
They weren't being mean, just doing a double take every time they saw him. Its all context though. If you have the confidence, you can carry it off.
Here in Edinburgh, we have the lady with the most piercings in her face and it suits her. |

I"m not a fan of tattoos in any form but if you're going to get one at least get a good tattooist to do it...sadly the evidence shows that there are a lot of bad tattooists out there who somehow manage to stay in employment |

Surprisingly thought provoking question, I have a personal rule for my self that is no tats above my shoulders or on my hands... Just so I can hide them if I feel I need to, this makes me feel a little conformist and I don't like to feel that way but my feelings towards other people that have face, neck or any tats that are always on show are mixed. I wonder sometimes what they do for a living or how they feel about it, many people regret tats in very private areas so a face tattoo must be the most regretted or regrettable you can have. I know I wouldn't be put off if I was interviewing someone for a work position but I also think that many people would and the bottom line is without conversing it is hard for me to develop an opinion on an individual.that said I would always question why a person would feel the need to display themselves in that way, maybe an emotional need to sit outside of the box?? Am I talking bollox again? Lol the only person I know with a very apparent neck tat had it done when he was 16 and at 28 he has regretted since his first job interview after the tat. That was when he was 17. |

Personally I don't mind tattoos if done right, a few weeks ago I saw a you bloke in work the only part of his head not tattood was his face around the eyes, nose and mouth. He looked awful. Neck and face tattoo's are not for me. |

I have lots of friedns with face tattoos. Always wanted one myself but cant due to work. A good face tattoo kn a woman can look really sexy. But all depends on the woman and the tattoo she has. But tattoos are a big turn on anyway. |

I know a fair few tattooists with face/neck tattoos.
Their choice, their bodies - and I guess in their industry it's never going to affect their career .
I'd never have one. But unless it's simply done for 'shock value' - I wouldn't judge. There are plenty of people with far more offensive personalities/beliefs than offensive body art.

I don't have any but have no problems with anyone else _xpressing themselves how they wish.
I think tattoos can look good on young, lithe, firm skin. In 20 or 30 years time though when we're all pensioners old and wrinkly I wonder how many grannies with their blue rinses will regret that huge permanent face tattoo they had when they were 25?? |

I have tatts and am a fan of good art but I can't help but think that those who have neck, face, hand tattoos etc are removing themselves from a lot of workplaces. As much as society has embraced tattoos it is still a big taboo in the corporate world.
I used to work in a call centre which was not public facing but still had to cover up a tattoo on my lower leg if i wanted to wear a skirt. There are not many employers that would employ people with face tattoos I would wager.
Plus I kind of like the contrast between a person that looks clean cut when dressed the tattooed to hell when naked |

It's often surprising who has tats that you don't know about!
My boss has several - never seen them (apart from pics he showed me) but the days of only a certain 'type' of person having them are long gone.
A good thing in my mind!

I work in a professional environment. It's a contact centre but I have meeting with top bosses with the likes of marshalls, startin and other car dealerships. I made sure it was ok with my director before going ahead. There opinion was as long as it isn't offensive it's ok
I guess I'm lucky with my job but I can see why it would hinder some.
I'm my opinion if they don't like them well they don't have too look lol tbh I don't really have negative comments about it. Probably cause I'm a pretty nice guy and hey who dosnt like a guy in a suit that looks a little rough and ready haha |

When I see a guy with loads of tattoos the first thing is mmmmm the last thing would be thug.....so many people have tattoos....all walks of life and all professions.....it's the person inside that counts anything on the outside is decoration. I have lots of tattoos, never received any negative comments and I work in an office with lots of older people and some very straight laced types. It's a live and let live world we have now so we should embrace everyone and accept people for who they are |

I form opinions instantly.. they do change but that 1st opinion will always be the 1st opinion "
. Everyone does.
This current fashion of people saying 'don't judge' is total bollocks!! People make instant judgements on new people they meet. They may change their mind when they get to know them, cool. |

100% no problem with face tattoos that prove or are required as part of a tribe.
I think is a good thing that we still keep some of our ancient customs, in some parts of the world.
But in general, unless really artistic, I'm not a fan of tattoos that are visible when wearing clothes. |

I've got smal tattoos on my thumbs they are 25 years old now and I work in an office but it's quite a masculine industry so I don't think I'm judged on them but I do regret them but I don't have opinions on those that have openly visual tattoos I'd like to think I judge people for who they are and not what they look like |

Don't like them. I find them a little too much. I would struggle to have a one to one social in a public place with someone who had their face tattooed.
Nothing against the person, just my choice and how I choose to carry myself and the image I project into the world.
Whether people agree or not, image does matter. Opinions are made on people all the time, from the language they use, to what they wear, what they eat/drink, how they carry themselves.. Everything. You can't get away from that.... Unless you ball gag them and put a bag on their head

"Don't like them.
No point me coming to one of your socials in hope of chatting you up
I used the words "classy venue" and got absolutely slated for it in the welsh forum... As I said, people judge and make opinions all of the time on people they do not know... "
I didn't say nothing about class hun... Different forum |

Some people are so judgmental, and it's usually the stuck up folk of society that feel the need to whisper and snigger!!!

"I think it's basically removing yourself from much if society. Fine if that's what you want to do but it's not for me.
Lol I work in the heart of our community so I'm in people's faces everyday.... Usually with a 90 year old blind person on my arm.... And tbh all I get is looks of admiration for the job Im doing xxxx I work for an international company who don't judge so maybe I'm just lucky "
Why lol? There are countless jobs you wouldn't get. I'm sure you get turned away from places or at the very least know places you wouldn't be welcome. People, particularly older people will possibly be scared of you (and yes I know you are a carer...). Like it or not the reality is people will judge you negatively for it.
So how is that not removing yourself from society?
I'm not saying it is right, 20 years ago full sleeves were unusual now few people give them a second look. Similarly facial piercings are now much more mainstream than they were 20 years ago. Nut as it stands at the moment most people will view anyone with facial ink as a freak or a thug or both.
Part of me admires the 'fuck you' attitude of doing something that has the power to shock (very little does these days) but it's really not for me |

"Personally I love face tattoos. I think they are beautiful and take balls to do. Ironically most guys I've met with face tattoos are shy which you wouldn't expect. One of the most beautiful men I've ever seen had a tribal tattoo covering the right side of his face. I wanted to kiss him on the spot but he was just a stranger in a public space."

I like tattoos on the whole, though not usually keen on face ones, it depends on the person and the design.
It's a shame that people are still refused jobs for having tattoos.
I'm lucky to work for a easy going employer and have had no negative comments so far. Though they are easily covered. |

But when you initially messaged me, the first thing you mentioned was the facial tattoo.. So you are obviously aware it has stigma...
The point re: phrasing, is that people make judgements, regardless of what it is. Judgements are made, whether it be tattoos, remarks, the way you walk talk etc.. Clearly you cannot comprehend what I'm talking about. A bit like when you asked to come to a smart venue in flip flips, shorts and a vest... There are times and places where you have to dress and act accordingly, no matter whether you are a lovely person or not. |
