As I'm not a pushy guy if I see someone that I like I will send them a wink and if they wink back I will more than likely to message them if they don't respond then I assume that they have looked at my profile and are not interested so I wont bother them but at least if I have sent a wink then at least they know their profile is getting attention off someone |

I don't see the point of them unless the person wants to meet with me.
But I do get TVs and men winking because i have the don't want to meet on the messages.
So they think because they wink I would change my mind and meet them |

Is this not the purpose of winks an initial contact to see if any initial mutual attraction pics,profile etc women receive hundreds of messages so even the best plaid out message could get overlooked at least a wink shows interest |

We like the wink system as it's a way of showing your interested without having to send a message we've sent a few out to some couples and don't get a response..some don't bother with them but we think it's a good start of point to showing interest.. |

The problem with winks is that they are not used the same way by everyone.
As a guy we all know putting effort in to a message can often be deflating if it actually has effort and thought put in to only to be ignored or discarded especially when unread. THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT!
A wink can be useful (as has been proven above) in just acknowledging a mutual attraction or connection without the fuss of going in to effort without any certainty of success. If the wink is mutual then putting that effort in feels so much more like a worthy investment and less of a waste of time.
Very similar to catching somebody looking at you from across the room, it's partially an invitation to approach/be approached. Then the conversation can really be invested in. |
