So, Ess has come out the other side of an illness that has now affected her mobility to the point that she is an ambulatory wheelchair user. In other words, she can walk very short distances, and climb half a set of stairs, but for everything else uses her wheelchair.
In your experience of simply being in clubs that we may have not visited or even heard of, which ones seem to be the most mobility friendly?
Obviously, completely step free access would be a dream, but how accessible is your local club?
Thanks ☺️

Liberty Elite has a set of stairs up to some of the private playrooms but there are others on the ground floor plus the main playroom, bar, changing rooms and toilets. There’s one step to the side of the bar. |

Not necessarily for the OP, but others may want to know…Mirage near Lincoln is all on one level - I have to be honest and say I’m not sure of their accessibility to get in though, but I’m sure they would able to let anyone know |

It never occurred to me about accessibility, until I had to carry heavy equipment and cases for shoots around a few clubs, then I realised, a lot of places are not easily navigated by people less mobile than myself. Maybe as a lot of clubs tend to be repurposed venues. Night clubs, bar etc, from days before it was thought about. |

"Thanks everybody for the good advice! Really appreciate it!
Seems like the attic is a good place to start 😁"
Indeed, you'll not go wrong there. Other than the dark (u/v) room and glory holes, it's all on one level at the new venue. |

"We have seen more than one wheelchair user at Xtasia.
They even put ramps for the steps to the playrooms"
There is no disabled toilet which means I can never go back (full time wheelchair user unable to stand). |

Two in the southwest
Utopia is 100% accessable
And within temptation while over two floors there is enough on the ground floor including a full accesable loo to make it a good venue for accessable needs |

Yorkshire - but we travel a lot |
Libs is indeed accessible for the club itself, but if visiting its best to book accommodation elsewhere. The on site accommodation block has narrower than usual exterior doors that a standard width wheelchair barely fits through. Shower over bath too
Mrs Y had plenty of volunteers to help her on and off the playroom beds though |

Thinking about where we go, Partners could be quite a good place for you. Although there are playrooms upstairs, the lower level has, without any stairs, the changing rooms, toilets, jacuzzi, plunge pool, sauna, showers, and a sitting area. Play does happen in the wet areas too.
Infusion similarly has a good amount of facilities on the ground floor, social area, dark play room, pool, jacuzzi, social area. Unfortunately there are stairs to get to the changing rooms, toilets and main play rooms, but there are 2 sets of stairs (so no worries blocking them and feeling pressured to hurry up), one of the staircases has a landing to take a rest.
Cupid's has quite a steep staircase to get in, but again quite a lot on the first floor so no need to go to the lower floor.
The Gatehouse is all on one level with just about 3 steps to get in at the door.
Chameleons has lots of stairs to get anywhere.
No.3 in Chorley not to bad if you can manage the first stairs to get in, everything on the same level after that. |
