"Enlighten me?"
I'm on here solely to meet a couple and my profile is pretty specific in that regard.
If I don't block men (the only 'group' for which this works incidentally), then my 'looked at me' list fills up (unnecessarily) with guys (who are by far the majority and most persistent in these parts) and I also get a few, typically simplistic, "how you doing" messages too.
More of a question, for me at least(!), is why guys bother to do that and additionally why some guys go further and fab my pictures as well (flattering that it may be).
It's like they consider I can some how be convinced to deviate from what I've clearly laid out in my text (which I'm guessing hasn't even been read) or perhaps, by the fab, to look at their profile in return and to suddenly have an epiphany and totally change my mind in regard to my sexual preferences.

I get similar but really not that much of an inconvenience. And hell I'll take and compliments I can get. I look at guys profiles as quite oftem they have good pics/video of them with fems. Not because I'm admiring their cocks...although sometimes I can't help it lol. Also single guys sometimes post meets looking for another guy to join them and their fem partner. So you'd miss out there. Just wondered. |

I block men and have filters on Occasionally I'll turn the filters off if I'm looking for a response to a question and there's a few guys message offering up bj. After they've messaged once they can bypass the filter so ya gotta block or you get multiple messages.
Becomes a bit concerning too when they comment on how far they are from you, but mostly it's an unwanted annoyance. |

Personally, I'm not looking for one off meets like that, so that's irrelevant to me, but even if I was, and was then browsing the 'meets' category, you'd still see all the listings from men.
You can basically look at whoever/whatever you like (the 'global' block simply inhibits all single-male mail, while also hiding any men that looked at you, from the list you see).
If you needed to contact someone, you could lift the block until you'd heard back (if you were lucky of course!). As I understand it, once you are in contact with someone, the blanket block no longer applies to that person, so it could then be re-instated to stop others once again.
Note I'm no expert here this just seems to be how it works from trying various blocks. |

It’s a shame some/many guys need to block other guys. I guess it makes the site feel more competitive and less supportive. But if they getting bombarded with offers they don’t want it’s prob a trade off worth making |

For me, it's nothing to do with competition. If I say (as I do) that I'm straight and looking to meet a couple, then I really don't want to hear from, single (in the main - bi-sexual) and very persistent guys, who are presumably contacting me, as the ratio of men to women/couples, is obviously really skewed in these parts.
I'm far from homophobic, my best mate is actually gay and I'm clearly very comfortable around men given that my #1 favourite pastime, i.e. that brings me here, is DP.
I simply would prefer to contact the people I'm looking for. |

Perhaps your profile attracts a certain inexplicable demographic.
I'm straight, my filters are all open and anyone can potentially message me. I receive one or two messages a month from straight men - quite often from the forå. Otherwise it's always messages from women and occasionally from couples. |
