I thought it said that if they had blocked single guys. But also agree with above, women that will write as a status or in their bio they don't want messages from guys but still leave messages open....🤦🏻♀️ |

I've never tried to encourage someone to do this with me....if i don't match their preferences, I wont message. |

If in the "looking for" it says "not looking for single men", men would not be able to message that profile. If that phrase does not appear there but it doesn't specifically say "looking for men", any man trying to message that profile would get a warning "this person is not looking for men" before they send the message. Some would still try their luck.
My profile is as specific as I can make it, yet straight guys still message- not many, granted, but still. |

I say on mine “no men” several times- ye, before anyone chimes in I haven't blocked them as I speak to some via the forums and what not, but i’m not looking to meet.
Get between 5/10 a day asking that though. |

These men not reading the profiles are probably the same men in the forums that moan they’re not getting any meets.
Myself personally wouldn’t message someone if they’re not looking for single men. Same as if they’re looking for a BBC I wouldn’t message. |

Our profile clearly says we're not meeting outwith clubs right now - we have been lucky enough to have met a gorgeous guy who we're enjoying a bit of an ongoing thing with, but we do enjoy attending clubs.
We still get relentless messages from single guys. Not one has referenced meeting in a club so we're assuming they are trying their luck or haven't read our profile.... |

Mine is a single profile but sometimes my partner wants to play but doesn't want to have a profile or a couple's one so many people hay missed out of some fun especially when they bare on holiday in Bulgaria. |

I really don't get why guys persist in trying thier luck, when it's pretty clear from reading most profiles (well those that bother to say something!) what people actually want. What does that achieve you wonder?!
Personally I always read what's written and if I don't think it's a decent match, I'll simply block from the get go (so I don't waste anyone's time further). I'll even do that with most who leave the default age range to 18-99, when it's clear they are very unlikely to meet someone of my age (you can usually tell).
You certainly get the impression here, that lots of guys simply take a scattergun approach, so spamming everyone, hoping that someone will respond (however unlikely that is). Presumably they really don't care who they meet, as long as they get off?!?
The frustrating bit (and this is perhaps just my perception, but it seems the case) is that unless you are really lucky with your timing, this just overfills inboxes and a lot of the time, those who have made a genuine effort, get missed in the deluge.
