I went nov 2009 - found it v disappointing v previous years - only half the stands mostly selling cheap tat. Floor show was rubbish too- better to go bbb.. |

Erotica is more mainstream and sadly more expensive than most people think it should be. Goodness knows how much they paid Dita Von Teese to do ONE performance on the Saturday!  If you`re really determined to go, look at their website for ticket deals but make sure you buy tickets for the day you intend to go on as they are not transferrable. |

Been a couple of times and we wouldn't bother going again.
Expensive to get in and most of the stuff you can buy much cheaper on the internet.
Not enough places to sit down....I could go on lol
Not to say others wouldn't enjoy it, just not for us x |

2. Why is everyone on this thread who is going not in London?

We went to the very last Erotica held in Manchester, it was fantastic and so was the after party.
On the strength of that we took 4 friends to the London Erotica the following year.
Never again, we spent most of the evening apologising to our friends for such a disappointing event.

I hate to say it, but these organised events, relsted or not, rarely give a 'better deal' than the t'internet...the experience mind you, is a different proposition altogether |

Sounds like most make up counter areas, i.e. the stuck up women.
Also probably more fun with a cheap flight to amsterdam and some shopping and one of the mediocre shows followed by night in a swing club. |

We went to Erotica last year and thought it too mainstream... it also cost us a bomb for the hotel which was absolutely naff.
We went to the BBB today and had a much better time. We'll use the same budget we had for erotical last year and get a few visits in to LAM/LFF besides too ;o)
