Even tighter in the NIHL 3 points separate top 3 teams. Top 2, double header weekend....

Well, that’s what they were called back in the day when I started watching hockey.

I believe they were the Wella Basingstoke Beavers - Kevin Conway and Tim Salmon were their imports. Had some fun games against them. And the MK Kings as they were when they first came into being. |

BBC today..
No criminal charges will be brought against a professional ice hockey player arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of Adam Johnson.
The Nottingham Panthers player, 29, died after suffering a neck injury from a skate during a collision with Sheffield Steelers' Matt Petgrave on 28 October 2023.
I only have 2 hockey tops and neither are when I played ..one is the Ferris Bueller’s Detroit Redwings, the other is the 47 Adam Johnson top the panthers sold to raise money for his family ♥️ |

Well i use to play. Was goalie played for alot different teams. Bracknell Basingstoke mk and a good few more all down south. Mk lightening and thunder. Bees bison buffalo. Redskins. Dynamos. I wonder who can guess who I am. |

Way back when I used to follow Manchester Storm. Remember the Nynex holding the largest ever European crowd for a hockey game, Hilton Ruggles was the star turn.
Then came the super league era with Jago, Rubachuck and Frankie Pieterangelo etc, some good memories winning the cups at Nottingham and the shelter but say the money dried up and it went pop.
Never been since in all fairness but the memories live long |
