I used to work up in Leeds occasionally and always tried to book a specific hotel at the Armouries. When booking I'd always request a room on the front of the hotel. I love all stuff like this and I’m in hotels a lot for work.
Last year I was in one near Belfast that was a U shape building with a narrow courtyard in the middle so the facing building is quite close. The rooms have big tall windows.
