My body is making us having to take a back seat :(

I’ve been vocal in the past about my entrometiosis and how it can affect play but it’s taken a massive turn for the worse , been bleeding constantly since 5th June, had to cancel all meets or club events we were due to go to and only been able to even be intimate with each other on the lighter days where I’ve used a Beppy sponge.
Got a hospital biopsy Wednesday so will find out more but has meant apart from commenting in the forums we have had to take a massive step back from swinging. It’s really got us down as we love having people over and playing. Love meeting couples etc.
Has anyone else had medical conditions where they have had to step back from play for a significant amount of time ?
Really missing being intimate with my partner let alone with playmates and there is only so much patience couples have for waiting for me to be ‘ able’ to do a meet.
Thoughts ?

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 12 years ago and the subsequent surgery definitely ruined my self confidence for some time. I went from a guy with, when hard, 7” penis to having a soft 4” ( they pull part of your penis inside to reconnect the plumbing) permanently soft and infertile.
Since getting my head outta my backside and realising that I’m still alive. Still no sign of cancer returning. That I can still enjoy life. So I’ve had many compliments on my oral and hand skills from quite a surprising number of ladies. Life finds a way and you have to celebrate the wins when you can.
With a choice between a reasonable size penis and erections and probably less than a year to live and having surgery with all the associated complications, well you can see the no-brain choice 😊 |

I think that your health and relationship are the most important things in your life.
Having sex with other people is way down the list of priorities and as annoying as it feels right now this will pass.

Not the same but I had a few months out due to an operation and those I knew from Fab were very understanding and never ever pushy about meeting. I certainly wouldn't worry about meets/clubs etc because your health comes first.
Everything else can wait.
Although I can understand how frustrating it is... because you sort of feel you're on pause for a while.
I wonder if you'd still enjoy the social side for the time being if playing is off the table? I took a great deal of joy in chatting to others from Fab (especially those whom I'd consider friends and not just those from the community I hadn't met) either over message or F2F. No pressure to play (obviously) but still had a lovely time and felt less like I was on 'pause'.

Hey OP,
Endometriosis was the original reason we stepped away too. Started long before I knew for sure what it was but has been an ongoing rollercoster since. I'm sorry you're suffering. Fingers crossed you're able to access much needed help with your symptoms ❤️

I am 3 weeks post op from a double mastectomy and reconstruction.
Missing the intimacy with Mr and having the option to play.
It's boring and I swear my virginity is growing back!!

We've both been through cancer these last 2 years. To be honest swinging was the last thing on my mind, staying alive was in the forefront.
My advice to anyone going through a life changing illness.
Forget the old cliche, stay positive. It's OK to scream, shout, cry and have every negative thoughts.
The journey you are about to experience doesn't care what you or anyone else is feeling. Just stick with the programme, do everything the medics say, join every exercise programme during and after.
I found some of the groups helpful, some full of whiners, turning into a pissing contest of who is the most ill.
You will meet those who are stoic and those who are whiners, cancer doesn't care.
But I'm cancer free, fitter than ever before and hornier as hell, seems a decent outcome to me.
Good luck to anyone going through it.
To those who are not and sometimes get tongue tied and not knowing what to say.
Don't say "I'm sure it will be fine "
The reply in my head was "oh fuck off, how on earth do you know it will be alright".
Best something like "hope the biopsy results are good".
You learn to use your time wisely.

Update not that anyone probably cares , still waiting for biopsy results but I’m now on day 41 of constant bleeding. I’m fed up, I’m exhausted, constant pain, constant bloating, leaking underwear, same on the bed. Can’t be overly intimate with the partner apart from touching but so miss making love. Miss being able to be free with no knickers or pads in. All you fellow female sufferers out there I feel for you I really do. |

What I won’t tolerate is people who have a go at me , mock me and say some very nasty things about this post but rather than comment in the forum have decided to take it upon themselves to message me direct, especially as a man they will never know what this particular condition feels like , they have been blocked but clearly they know had they messaged what they said to me on here they would have either been reported or least a few people would have put them down a peg or two!

Fell a few hrs ago and damaged 6 discs in back, due to damage now bone on bone 5 lumber vertebrae, side effects of this know use a wheel chair, and if nerves pinch suffer with cauda equina syndrome lose feelings in penis anal area also pre op M2F trans woman so hrt and testosterone blockers mean very hard to get hard it's all shrunk . |

My wife's suffered with Endometriosis for 30 years.
Several operations later and it got so entangled she had to have a section of her bowel removed.
Shes now on the depo to stop periods, as Endometriosis apparently feeds on blood?
I hope you get the results you're hoping for.

My friend has suffered for years with endo and finally last year she found a surgeon who would perform a hysterectomy. She was 29 yo and had to try and manage the pain, bleeding and the awful attitude from professionals who didn’t want to know because ‘you might want kids’ ‘you’re too young to decide’ ‘what if you meet someone who wants kids?’. Her endo took 3 months to reappear but she handles it because at least she doesn’t have to manage the bleeding and that pain anymore.
Any woman dealing with endo deals with it for YEARS and with little support, so I salute all you ladies and hope you continue to fight.

A back injury in 2012 followed by spinal surgery in 2016 left me with serious mobility issues for years. I recovered, but past few years there has been some spinal deteriorating which can again affect my mobility. This coupled with knee and ankle issues have left me having to modify how I play a lot.
I just get on as best as I can, but it does frustrate me and affects my moods sometimes.
Still, I'm here and still going, so that's what matters |
