Always celebrate a victory over the old enemy, well done!
Just feel all the changes that Gatland has 'had' to make is a bit late for the World Cup these players should have played last seasons 6 nations but hopefully we can put on a show.

Didn't care about the result, all about performance. We had two changes and took them for a change
Happy that they're is genuine competetion for places now the old guard has gone
Ask OP for her predictions... I scoffed when she predicted japan to beat sco and ire in last world cup..... I'm staying quiet this year |

Long way to go yet and performance wasn’t great but positives in fitness and strength in depth.
Need to get some game time for those who have not played yet, including Kieran Williams and Anscombe. |

Great win. I know the 6N wasn't great. But something feels right about playing for Gats. Here's hoping we can help like we did on Saturday |

Good 2nd half but a decent side would have obliterated us in the 1st.
Morgan, Wainwright, Plumtree, Smith, H.Thomas and Rowlands all went well up front.
Tomos Williams, North, LRZ and Llewellyn tidy behind.
Tshiunza was my biggest concern, not sure he's a 6. |

I feel that the comments from the Welsh are either being very polite or bard on yourself.
I sat in an amazing seat dien on the touch line, amongst all generations of woman and men singing their hearts out and as always in Cardiff, extending a genuine warm welcome, which is why I travel to Wales rather than Twickenham.
But.... England played like a club side, knocking on at every breakdown and slinging the ball lile it was a hot potato.
Wales picked them up, pushed them back and gave them the crushing defeat they deserved.
Hats of to Wales, and thank you for having me again |

"Well this has been a shit show "
Was it, though? England threw their most experienced side ever against what are mostly fringe players, and only came off 2 points better off?
If discipline and the lineout were even average, it would've been a pretty convincing win
England should have an absolute pasting after that performance |

It was a shit show of a performance yes, absolutely, by both sides
But as results go, that was pretty much England's full strength team whereas ours had many players who are at best 3rd choice in their positions. So I wouldn't look too much into the result |

After those games, think Gatland will be much happier coach than Borthwick. He’s got many problems of his own. Great to see Wales put 2 entirely separate competitive teams out. We will make if thru from our group. Watch out for Scotland to do well on their group too. But for tournament winners can’t see anyone but AB’s winning it. Think we might make semi’s |

Wish i shared your optimism! All I saw were two Terrible sides with little ambition of playing any decent rugby. Turning point of the game was when we scored and celebrated as if we'd won with 12odd minutes to play, schoolboy stuff and lost all direction after that. Only consultation is surely it can't get much worse! |

A long overdue reality check today against the 2nd-3rd best side in the world, half of these players really not up to scratch but had to be tried out I suppose!
Very surprised to see that Gatland was so naive to the state of the Welsh game on his return!
Grass roots rugby is struggling and is slowly filtering through to the so called top level. |

I hope the coaching staff watched the France v Fiji game tonight and took note that Fili can now bring a strong forward game!

I was thinking Gats has had a honest conversation and told them they are not guarantee picks for the WC and they have not liked it and chosen to jump before pushed tbh. I really like the blend of youth in this side. Will Rowlands being back is a massive plus as well |

I think we have the makings of a strong team at the moment, yes South Africa was a nightmare but its early days for them at the moment. As good as they were during the day, I think a lot of the old guard were maybe getting a bit too arrogant and assumed they had their place in the first team.
Guess well find out in a few weeks .... |

I don’t think any of those 13 changes have forced a rethink from Gatland and his starting 15!!

Just have to stop them scoring 4 tries, and if we lose, not by more than 7.
We’re capable of winning if we sort our line out. That was one thing the Aussies did well today.

If any other team were playing this Aus side and the Aussies had dropped their new 10 after a couple of bad games I’d be backing Aus to lose…but it’s Wales and it’s just too nervy to be confident.
Think we can do it and will do it, just don’t give them easy points so they get some confidence |

Think Gat’s is picking his back row in a ‘horses for courses’ basis this RWC.

Only other real options were Tshiunza who is very raw or Basham who's not as good. Lydiate is gone now unfortunately.
We really need to develop some depth at 6 and 8. And 3 and 10 if we're being honest. |

"It wasn’t even close, interesting to see the reasoning behind not giving a yellow / red card"
Even though I kinda still disagree I can kinda understand the reasoning behind it
He basically says that the Argentine player was trying to tackle someone else but Tompkins fell into his path
Not that I agree, but it's a decision I can logic behind if that is what actually happened, although I have never heard that applied in any incidents of head contact before so |

I agree
It being accidental is usually only classed as mitigation for the sanction not the actual head contact
But never mind |

Yes agree all through this world cup it's been yellow and review every knock to the head. as an ex player and ref there have been many in this world cup which would have been a rugby incident and not foul play..
But that wasn't the defining factor in the first half we lost 3 line outs 10-15 meters out very poor should have tightened up after the first one.
And the lack of a regular full back told when Williams went off zammit done OK but his loose kick over the dead ball line put the argys in a good attacking position it was just inexperience that proved costly.
But they did thier best plenty to work with going forward lots of young players for gatland to develop.
The wru need to make sure these players are playing at high intensity level week in week out.
And that overpaid bunch of wokey y ass holes in the senydd need to do thier bit too..

Well done Ireland for your journey
Come on England yes I’m English

And honestly I’d love Fiji to win because of how they play
End of the day it’s a game, it’s sport and sportsmanship and always should be

He wasn't great today but he clearly wasn't fit. He's been brilliant for us over the years though and I wish we had another 21 year old Biggar coming through the ranks right now.
Our kicking game today was piss poor and combined with our terrible lineout cost us the game. We missed that 4th option at the lineout.
That head shot on Tompkins was a real sliding doors moment though. If Dickson gives that then Argentina don't get the 7 pointer. Oh well. |
