Have attended Newport Chams on many occasions in the past but have always travelled home the same night.

Any of you lovely fibbers suggest a hotel near the venue please? xx

Near

The closest is the Waterloo which is down the road, walking distance. However, Chams also have rooms next to the club so worth asking if any are available on the night of your visit. They’re clean, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Otherwise the rest are a short taxi ride.

You’ve got the Holiday Inn Express, the Mercure, Travelodge, Premier Inn and the Ty which are all reasonably priced.

Also stayed in the Ibis so can second this (forgot about it being so close!). The showers are the size of airplane toilets though!

We’ve stayed at the Mercure most times we’ve been to Chams - handy for going to the bars pre-club and only a short distance away. Only issue we’ve had was a fire alarm going off at 3am when we were on the 14th floor!

Most recently we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, which was more budget friendly but further away. A pain to get into Friar’s Walk car park if heading to town later on, but not too bad a drive to the club.

the seaside

Ibis we have stayed in a lot. It's cheap but small and the showers are tiny. But for a night out it'll do

"What put you off the Waterloo? Just being curious.."

The new owners live on the first floor with a lot of children (I’m a mum so I have some tolerance) and we were situated on the 2nd floor but the children running up and down the hall even at 2am was unbearable. Teamed with being very cold, single glazed windows and loads of boy racers whizzing past the transporter bridge. I genuinely wish I hadn’t had a few drinks otherwise I would have driven home!

Thanks, I couldn't have coped with the kids 😂 especially after a few drinks. I would have asked for a refund..I'm a grumpy old bugger 😂😂
