I thought that the swinging community was very inclusive and welcoming. Last night at Chams Newport a couple racially abused me and asked me to go back to my country. Is this common? Have anyone else faced such discrimination? |

Hey mate
Sorry to hear your experience.
I can so relate to it.
Have had some really nasty experiences on here so now make it very clear I am coloured.
Had similar incidents so have given up.on clubs.
Most are really nice and polite.
And if we don't click let you down gently but the vile ones make it hard and those are the occasions you remember.
Externally I say they are the ignorant ones but it does get under your skin
Take it easy |

So sorry this happened mate
Hope you felt that you could speak to the staff there as this shouldn't be tolerated and they should've at least been warned if not kicked out.
Hope you have many more good experiences mate |

Sadly no lifestyles are immune. Stay away from the politics thread on these forums, full of far right nuts. Pretty disgusting and stupid thing to say to you, sorry you had that experience. |

Oh hell yes man, always, that's typical in Fab but most of the time they won't spit out their dirty thought otherwise you can report them and they will be banned. However stay positive because still there is many decent lovely kind people here too and you will meet them soon, I'm sure. |

I was thinking it is difficult to report it as a single guy. What if they say something against me even though I haven't done anything? Couples will get priority, and I'll be blamed. Even though I just let one of the staff know about the incident without reporting it as a complaint or pointing to a person. |

My skin color is no different from most people here, but I'm not British. I'm Polish. I've lived in the UK for 21 years, so my entire adult life. I've been told many times that I should go back to my country, and I've also received a lot of unkind words, especially from those I refused to meet. |

I'm really very sorry that happened. Any community should be inclusive but unfortunately it's made up of ppl and within there you sometimes get some piece of shit, rotten eggs.
Please don't let their actions/words deter you from the community |

Again as others have said sorry this happened and has regular visit to Chams in Newport we can tell you its not something that happens all the time
You must absolutely report it to Dave Kev or Charlie they will deal with it
Remember they do have cctv so it can always be checked
We always tell people weather its male or female , couples gay bi ect
If anything happens report it
Sadly there are a few regulars that go who do cross the line in their actions and people are getting fed up with it but still this isn't called for
Dont let this put you off because like all clubs they need new people along with regulars to keep the clubs going
Hopefully the next visit will be more pleasant |

Luckily most people are nice and friendly.
But unfortunately there are a lot of people who behave in the way you described, and even more who will defend that behaviour as “a joke” or “you must have done something to upset them” or “it’s just preference”.
It might only be 1 in 20 people, but it’s enough to notice.
I’m sorry you had to experience that. |

I'm gutted I wasn't there last night, as I would have done something to defend you as I know you are one of the ones who actually try to talk to people.
dont let this knock you back, and dont think you are not welcome in the community

Racism is all over this site unfortunately. Interracial parties, blacks only, no blacks, the whole bbc thing. Blatant racism. I’ve reported it and nothing happens. No reply from site.
Oh, “it’s a sexual preference not racism”. As if.
But the active personal abuse you describe is far worse. Has to be stamped out. I feel for you. Sickening. |

I am wholeheartedly sorry you've had to experience this. As others have said, definitely report next time.
Whoever did this , they should be ashamed of themselves. I hope the scum are reading this , and if so , they should own up, take some accountability and apologise. They're big enough to be racist, let's see if they're big and proud to admit to the forum who they are.
Cowards.

OP - This is just about the best endorsement anyone could have. Everybody knows, trusts and respects CJ.
So sorry that you had to go through this. Don't let it put you off, and if it happens again, report whoever does it. The club is an inclusive space. |

This is my experience of being on here for many years and NEVER being able to meet anyone.
Nearly every Caucasian seems to be on a morally high ground that they look down on the rest of us. No offense to those who are fairer with non Caucasians but there's few of you on here.
I'm genuine, open minded, clean, discreet, honest yet have always been looked on suspiciously as if I'm doing something wrong here and the rest are all right. |

You sound up yourself with your reply. Many never meet, just the problems of this site in general due to vast inbalance and timewasters. And not sure many Armenian, Georgian or others from the Caucasus region to pick on to form your opinion. |

I agree that the odds are stacked against single straight men on here, but can you legitimately question the racism others say they face? I see women being racist here all the time. Somehow it’s legit to want a bbc. Imagine I said white women only need apply? |

People who don't experience racism or prejudice can never fully understand the experience of those who do.
I understand and agree there are many non ethnic people who are not racist at all but it's a different matter experiencing something.
I'm in my mid 50s and have had it all my life. It's always below the surface waiting to pop it's ugly head out with triggers which make it seem acceptable. My experience is that it's more in the open now than was in the 80s 90s or 2000s and becoming acceptable with many. |

Can you explain what you mean by non ethnic people please? |

"Thank you all for the reassuring words. I have been pretty new to this scene. Its been only few months."
Hope you reported this to the organisers...
We really need to call this out when it appears... you may well NOT be what some are looking for and that is their call, And it could be for any number of reasons, racism not being one of them.
Hope you continue your social attendances |

"With respect is this a one way experience or is there another side to this we are not hearing
Just saying before people jump.in to comment
Is this a reaction to something that was said "
Would you jump to racial abuse if someone said something you didn't like? |
