Had a couple that I wanted to meet. They requested a pic so I sent and requested one in return.
They refused to send one then called me a time waster when I then refused to meet without seeing them first |

No. What is there to get annoyed about? Don't engage with them. Bypass those profiles.
If the subject of sharing photographs is raised then ask them to lead by example and send you a photo first. Then it's up to you to reciprocate. |

The only time this would annoy me would be if they were still engaging and wanting to meet. Attraction is key so if they won’t reciprocate I’d block.
Equally if I have sent a face pic and I’m not for them, they’re under no obligation to return one. I’ve had this happen to me and have had this happen the other way around. If I don’t fancy the guy why would I still neee to send a photo? We won’t be meeting |

Why would I get annoyed if I chose to send one?
Having public face pics is vastly different to sending one in private.
They saw the face it wasn't for them why would you want on in return, it's kind of like yeah no thanks but here's what you could have had.

We had a message out of the blue from a couple asking if we wanted to meet. We asked if they could send a face pic and their reply was, yes if you send yours first 
When we replied "That's not how it works", they got shirty and said "well it's not like we're neighbours, why are you being funny?"

Any profiles they explicitly state they don’t share face pics themselves but want, or expect one from me I just swerve altogether.

Same here. However ive learned from some fems on here that just dropping a face pick can put them in an awkward 50 50 situation and most will sway away even if you are gods gift. I stopped and seem to see have increase in replies. If they state 1st message that different. |

I've never sent a face pic in a message on here.
I've been here since 2016 and the only people I've shared a face pic with in that time have been those I've already agreed to meet and even then I've met a few times without exchanging pics at all.
I shared one years ago on a face pic Friday thread which didn't go well so I've never made that mistake again.
I've shared a few with people off site which they in turn passed on to others in chat groups so that won't be happening again.

Yeah i find it annoying, I've had it recently been chatting to a couple and I've probably had about 20 words out of them and 4 of them were "got any face pics?" This is from a profile with no profile pic, no public pics, not a verified member or photo verified with 1 private picture... my reply was "yes thanks loads, do you?" . I dont have a problem sending face pics and 9 times out of 10 if I message first ill send a face pic, but off a profile like that? Nope. |

I'm curious why you are even chatting to them at all?
That"couple" don't sound as though they are actually a couple and one of the reasons I've never engaged with a fake profile in 9 years is that I pay attention to all those red flags and don't live in hope. |

Damn, some of the strongest men on the planet carry belly’s that look like they’re downing a barrel of beer every day but it’s no reflection on their fitness or gym habits.
Attraction is fickle, people are allowed to have a preference. If you don’t fit that preference, or they don’t fit yours, you’re under no obligation to interact with them |

I find Being a single guy on here, you generally have to send a face pic in the first message if there’s any hope of it being read in the first instance.
So if you are having conversations without having to do that, you seem to be doing quite well imo. |

Most people are committed to a gym lifestyle because they want to be and enjoy it, not because someone demands they are. I also think you're conflating preferences with demands. Is it not perfectly feasible that there are people who go to the gym that are attracted to those who don't? What is there to be peeved about?
