Which active band / artist would you like to see live?
Jump to: Newest in thread
A bit inspired by Glastonbury, which band or artist who are still performing would you like to go and see live?
Best case scenario is it may end in a social, worst case scenario it’s a bit more info on peoples vanilla preferences.
I would have PJ Harvey, Sigur Ros and Radiohead on my list which says a bit about my musical tastes |

Never seen Iron Maiden or Ritche Blackmore (ex Deep Purple but would still see him whoever he performs with). I'd like to see Ozzy front Sabbath one last time but his health is going to make that impossible I think. I've seen Sabbath with Ronnie Dio and Ozzy solo bands. |

I went to see Iron Mainden in Nottingham in about 2004. Had a really good night and was still able to go to the students union for a few drinks after. If you can get to see them it was a good show back then |

Pure man's poison
But somewhere small, I saw Arctic monkeys at the Emirates stadium and it was a bit pants. The sound for me was wonky and I couldn't see them that great, it was just as easy to watch them on big screens at the side. |

"I would like to see a DJ set. Either Kream, Camelphat, Chase and Status "
Saw chase and status at the York balloon Festival a couple of years back. They followed a very ropey Robbie Williams tribute act. Needless to say the crowd needed them and they didn't disappoint. 😁 |

"I think the only artist I haven't yet managed to see live, who are on my wish list, is Foo Fighters.
There are plenty I'd see again and again, but the Foos remains unticked on my bingo card."
Definitely worth it!
I saw them at reading 2002 working the bar 😁 |

"Ghost. Recent discovery but damn I love the tone they have"
As I said above they are incredible live. And I love the different person's and stories, Cardi getting upset because Papa Perpetua his long lost brother has taken over as front man because he has been elevated to Papa Emeritus status
You should get up to speed with the chapters

"Watched Niles Rodgers and Chic at Glastonbury (on the telly) looked epic, there was a "Disco" night at the royal albert hall with the whole orcheatra doing le freak etc.
Would love to go to that"
The last time I saw Nile Rodgers he was confused & couldn't remember either of the 2 songs he was playing.
It was sad,I felt for him 😢🩵 |

It would have to be someone that puts on a SHOW. I can listen to the music at home. If I'm paying a fortune and making all the effort to get there, I'd want a proper show.
So P¡NK is one I'd definitely go to.
Maybe GAGA. |

In terms of still touring, I've seen pretty much every band I want to see, with the exception
of Echo And The Bunnymen, so they're on my to do list.
Upcoming gigs for the remainder of 2025 are Bloodstock festival, then New Model Army, then Fields Of The Nephilim, then Gary Numan, and then New Model Army again in December. |

"I’m excited to be seeing Ludovico Einaudi this week on his UK tour
Ooh I am jealous! I Giorni is one of my favourite pieces "
I’ve seen him a few times now and I’m dead excited.
That’s also one of my favourite pieces. That, Four Dimensions and the live Tu Sei performance from the Royal Albert Hall 🥰🥰 |

Saw Pink last year, she was AMAZING. I'd love to see her again |

I’ve been fortunate enough to see most of my favourite artists live. Some I was young and silly so spent a large portion of the gigs being attended to by St John’s ambulance… but we won’t talk about that 😂😂
The one person who has alluded me so far is Paul Simon. He’s top of my hit list. I promise I’ll behave Paul 😊 |

"I've seen all the one's I've ever really wanted to see, but I've The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim still to check off my list"
Chemical Bros are immense live, one of my fave live music experiences was watching them at Store Street Warehouse Project in Manchester in 2012. What a night that was. |
