Has this site gone down hill? It seems so difficult to get a message back let alone a meet. Ive been on and off since 09 and definitely noticed a decline. Also same couples and singles in here too. Discuss |

I don't think it's stated enough just how many messages some users can get each day. Imagine the message you might send to a prospective user, then multiply that one hundred-fold. Then double that. Add in all the single word messages on top of that, and you might be halfway to getting an idea of the volume of messages some accounts receive |

Just had almost 18 months off having had a profile for 8yrs previous. It was often criticised for being a bit clicky in the lounge but I genuinely feel that the humerus banter has in large part gone. Old friends & forum stalwarts have gone or rarely online, perhaps because I know so few I'm biased, or maybe I'm too old and jaded..? |

Hello fellow Fabbers.
I don't know if this is the right forum in which to ask this question but I'm going to ask it anyway 😂. I joined this site 3 weeks ago and I will say now that I'm very new to this world, which my profile bio will confirm. However, I am beginning to wonder why most female profiles that I've viewed have an age cut off for men of 55 years old?
As a 56 year old man it is very fucking frustrating 😂. Can I just reassure any ladies that might read this, we do not all of sudden become impotent when we turn 56.
If this is not the right place for this please ignore/delete.

It's natural that people will see changes in how attractive they are to other people, including being subject to different people's age restrictions. What people want also changes.
You could find the same trend in the real world. The site has certainly had an increase in users, so there's increased competition too. The others may be better at selling themselves here, based on how it is today
If you get to socials and clubs, then you can increase the amount of people who you know |

I get replies to messages so no complaining but I do think Fab is different now, the quality of messages used to be much better. People seemed more inclined to have a conversation and a laugh. The site seems to have lost something. I stay for the forums though, there’s some good threads that hold my interest and make me chuckle too. I’m not too fussed about DM’s and meeting people now, I get better conversation elsewhere. There are still some gems on Fab though. |

Very easy. The ratio of men compared to women is so high that women get so many messages that they can pick the best of the best for them. So the 10% so if your 6ft 3, good looking with a big enough dick muscles and can chat well you're probably in the 10%. You probably have more chance of meets on tinder because its abit more even. Best things to do is try find parties I think people are more open there. |

Yes, I've found there are a lot of idiots on here that just enjoy sending stupid messages. Had one the other day asking if it would be pregnant play obviously having a dig calling me fat, the cat fight troll, one who regularly sets new accounts asking if I want to see him and his step mother. I call it fab fatigue. Then when you think you have a meet organised they get cold feet and ghost me. In an ideal world I would love a regular meet but it never happens for me. |

There will always be people that think it’s changed or has become shit. For me personally if you are looking for a quick shag and not put the effort in to get to know someone then you won’t get any joy. I use fab to make that connection and then meet at a party or a club. Gives me a chance to chat to them properly and then take it from there. It’s all about your expectations too. I get a really different perspective of fab to others. I'm married and we just prefer to play solo.
So I get to see the messages and general bullshit that my wife gets, and its no wonder so many messages are ignored.
95% of messages she gets are from looking at her pics and don't read her profile.
There's also the male to female ratio to consider.

been here since fab was born as alot of us jumpped from a then well kmown site and fab as a swingers site has always been by far the best online swinger site..

I think for women it's definitely a different experience. I get so many new messages daily and then the earlier ones get pushed to the bottom of the pile. It's not possible to answer them all, and unfortunately alot don't get seen. |

fab gives you the tools they are not here to get you meets as others have said it can work very well for most women and couples from the very picky to the less so...
sadly due to the very few couples and women compared to men means most men will find it very hard thats not the fault of fab that just down to simple maths .. even before the internet way back in 1988/89 there were always high numbers of men that use to get turned away but now days its very high numbers of men ..

People are more experienced in how to use Fab better for themselves. They have learned and adapted how they use it. If you see some of the same people on, it's unlikely that they use it just the same as they used to.
Some people will potentially increase or decrease in the demand for them over time. |

Back in the day ( lol ) circa 2008 swinging was still pretty niche and taboo to a degree, hence more like minded people.
Now with social media, swinging become more widespread in the press not jus ‘ car keys in a pot wife swap parties ‘ you’ll always get more influx of people, good and bad.
On the whole, yes I think it’s gone down hill, but there’s still diamonds in the rough.

I don’t think it’s gone downhill, seems lots having plenty of fun although maybe at clubs more than before.
10 years ago I was having a great time on here, since I’ve been back, not so much but I think that’s because of my age and general look now. Certainly seems like there is a sweet spot for ages etc, if you’re the right age it’s probably still good fun. |

It's exactly the same for us as it was 9 years ago. We plead guilty to not replying to 95% of messages as their profiles don't appeal, any we reply to lead to nothing. Any fun we have is in a club. |

It is what it is, but yes I got meets in the early days but as I get older I suspect it will get harder and harder.
A % of guys see it as instashag and I doubt theres any thought about swinging it’s just after easy sex
So that throws the men to women % totally out of proportion.

I originally joined 12 years ago. I didn't find it that hard to get local meets.
I've not really tried in this reincarnation but have found it just as easy to get convos going without making the same effort and despite being 12 years older.
However ... That is more based on being on the forum. My sense is that the there is a lot more junk to wade through ir(fab)l. More men messaging women, but also more fakes to message (if you aren't aware of the signs).
So if you scatter gun, it's probably harder. If you are more astute, probably the same. |

I’m not a veteran but I have been on and off a fair few years and this has always been said about here.
My guess is that over time an idealised memory is your comparison for the current reality, not what it was actually like. But I guess there are more casual users now and long term users often feel a sense of ownership and that newbs don’t get it. Curious newcomers arrive without understanding the etiquette and what was a tightly vetted circle becomes a place that’s maybe a bit more chaotic and hit and miss. I’m probably just as ignorant as I was then tbh it’s not intentional I’ve just never been in it for the lifestyle |
