This is a really important life issue and can't be answered without great thought and analysis.......
Okay I thought ....... ANYDAY of the week i'd take a Satterthwaites pork pie over a Greggs greasy roll ........ and Greggs greasy rolls are tasty enough but they are not a Satterthwaites pork pie.. !

I would say sausage rolls are generally better, but I have had a pork pie that beats any sausage roll hands down. Pork and Black Pudding pie from County Durham chain of butchers Taylors for those who are interested. |

My local butcher makes some outstanding Scotch Eggs. I don’t know how he times it so precisely but the yolk is always semi runny to 🥰🥰 |

a Melton Mowbray pork pie it is then... dijon on the plate not the pie ..
pie cut into quarters.
butter knife used to sparingly apply dijon.
residue dijon to flavour the troubsome thick outer crust in a mock up action.

I remember the first sweets given to me by my grandfather, it was a Werther’s Original - but I digress: Sainsbury’s did an amazing pork pie once with piccalilli atop it.
Oh my gawd! That was positively mouthgasmic! 😍😍
Alas, it must have disappeared to the same lost land as Vol Au-Vonts and garlic sausage for I have never since seen it again 😭😭

I'm definitely in this camp - not a fan of either of the pastry encased options, but a Scotch egg however, is the king of pork based snacks! |

Pancakes are bland unless you add sugar and lemon.
Lettuce is bland unless you add a dressing.
