When you had grown up? What job did you want to do?
Did you do it?
Did you do something similar? Or nothing at all like it.
I wanted to be a vet, i ended up doing something similar (ish) but with a different clientele

Geologist, I was always fascinated by rocks as a kid and collected samples and read up all I could about places we'd visit. Did it as my B.Sc. course but ended up disillusioned about the job possibilities and played semi-pro in a band for a while then got into electronics instead, all the while ignoring my actual innate leaning towards humanities (I was great at languages at school and have always loved literature and art). |

I wanted to be a fighter pilot, until 6 months before I left school, I found out, that you didn't just jump in and start being maverick,and would be behind a desk for another few years.
So I did an apprenticeship and became a fitter/turner in mechanical engineering. I make fighter planes now instead  |

That's not soppy it's heavy, when your pet dies naturally, wouldn't feel comfy ending a pets life, |

My dad in the 80s started his own specialist engineering business.
In school holidays I always wanted to go with him and learn.
I left school and did an apprenticeship working with him 3 days and 2 days at college.
In 2008 I took over the business, and I absolutely love it. |

At first I wanted to be a fashion designer, but there were no schools for it. Then I wanted to work in a morgue,but I found out I don't have the stomach for it. Then a dental technician, but I ended up first in tourism, later call center and now I'm an engineer.
My dream is to be a bodoiur photographer. |

Always wanted to be a lorry driver growing up. Used to travel all over the country with my uncle in his lorry; during schools holidays. Ended up with a bus driver’s licence instead.
Although do something a lot different now. |

My mother thought i'd be a good psychologist so went in that direct at school / A levels. Worked with my father building everything from houses to tree houses but mainly loft converstions around Clapham.
Then when that didnt pan out, my mate said what do you like doing. I said going to the pub, so he said, run a pub.
So thats what i did. I was one of the youngest licensees at the time in the south of england and ran a pubs.
When that went to shite. I went back into the building game like my father. |

First wanted to be a librarian because (back in the day!) they all had lovely nails to flick through the library cards.
Then I wanted to be a hairdresser - until my hair started going greasy.
Then I wanted to be a nurse - until I realised what blood looked like.
Then I wanted to work with children. Been doing that one way or another for 44 years. Next stop retirement! |

I wanted to be either a Nun or a Mermaid.
Sadly I managed neither although I was a lifeguard many moons ago. I still do swim.
I was in accounts for most my career and now in the bricklaying side of construction.

Tattooist. I never had the chance when I was younger but did manage to get a chance around 15 years ago but then had Carpal Tunnel so that put paid to it for some years and never really got back into it. I'm still registered with the local Authorities so still might give it another shor. |

I wanted to to be a stand up comedian, and had I have been able to find a way in I would have done it, but by the time I had got to a place in life to be able to go to open mic nights I was too old, I did about a year of open slots but didn’t get any further.
But my got I loved every minute on stage, even when I couldn’t get a laugh |

I wanted to be a singer, then a model and then an actor. But I got fat and didnt follow any of my dreams. The moral of this story? Don't be like sian, dont get fat and make sure to follow your dreams. Working in a bank is not where I thought id work but here we are.

Growing up I wanted to be:-
Coal miner, but they shut down
Working in Pilkingtons, that shot down
Ravenhead glass, shut down
An engineer in the navy - picked up a life lasting injury and couldn't join.
Then I gave up and did a series of dead end jobs. Now I work for a housing association, in the maintence dept. |
