Consider my self a bit of a brown sauce connoisseur! Many years ago, in my work van I had a selection of brown sauces, hp, daddies, Hammonds yorkshire relish, hammonds chop sauce, and local to us in castleford was fletchers who made tiger sauce and tit bits sauce!
All These were always on my van shelf along with the tea and coffee and all the workmates used to turn up at dinner time for a bit of sauce on their meat pies lol
Got to say HP is the stand out sauce but the same as FAB,variety is the spice of life lol |

Never heard of Daddies until this thread.
I just ask for brown sauce as opposed to tomato sauce in a cafe, but usually don't crave any sauce
I don’t keep either at home as that sort of diet is confined to cafe meals.
I only keep mango chutney and apple sauce in the fridge. Fuck knows what they put in brown sauce, anyway! |
