I've never been easily influenced by ads, trends or people.
I never tasted alcohol or smoked even though all of my friends did.
I just decided they weren't for me and had the courage of my convictions to stick with my decisions.
I will only buy something if I need it rather than because it is trending.
I didn't have social media for years after most people I knew and I've never owned an iPhone or an expensive watch.
I've seen threads on fab reminiscing about clothing brands I've genuinely never heard of because I'm not brand influenced.
The same goes for music choices. |

no.
i dont understand the rush for things. that has appeared on the market will be there tomorrow.
you see people queuing for the latest mobile phone and paying crazy prices for it when the one they already have is good enough.
things like this, and 9 times out of 10 it will be bought on the credit card followed by moaning about the repayments.

Only with products that peak my curiosity. e.g. A new flavour of drink, protein bar, or breakfast cereal. I had learned my lesson when I used to watch the TV adverts and bought a Wonder Core exercise machine. Cost £80. Waste of money. Seen them at car boots selling for a fiver. It is far more practical to just look at a product and ask yourself - 'Do I honestly really need it, or just want it?' Always put needs over wants. |

All my life I would have said no but a few years ago I fell in love with a watch but it was stupidly expensive and my sister got in my head and convinced me that I deserved it. Now I’m glad she did I would never have bought it without her |

No. I'm not into consumerism. I buy things I need for a purpose. Or I occasionally treat myself to something I like. I don't impulse buy, I don't care about trends, I don't care about advertising. I ask myself if I need it or want it. Then if I can afford it. Then if there's something else I could buy instead. Then I make a decision. |

If I see it as useful then yes, i'm all in. But i'm quite ruthless, so if i perceive it as a waste of time/money then no. Dont want it or need it.
Airfryers for example. I dont need more real eatate taken up on my kitchen sideboard for a device my cooker does perfectly well. |
