Having a good family, a home, a job and material things doesn’t mean you can’t feel desperately lonely or depressed. You can have a life that looks great on paper and yet still feel completely empty inside. I’m sorry you’re feeling like this OP.
Please don’t sit with it on your own, try to talk to someone you trust and get some proper support. You’re clearly struggling and that deserves to be taken seriously.

I've had mental health issues since I was 11. It stabilised for a while after I met my first serious boyfriend. Tragically, he ended his own life. I was the one who found him hanging in his bedroom. That vision will likely haunt me for the rest of my life. It took years for me to want to enter another relationship after that. I felt intense guilt and pain due to not noticing how much he was secretly struggling. If only I saw the signs. That period of my life was immensely dark.
Thankfully, after a long recovery I am finally well and no longer take any antidepressants. The trauma gave me PTSD, which took a long time to go away. The anniversary of his death is still always a hard day. It will always hurt, but I've learned to live with the tragedy. Time really is a healer. Life does get better. I've even learned to love again.
I always try to be there for anyone I know who is struggling. My straight male friends seem to be drawn to me for emotional support. They seem to find it easier talking about personal stuff and worries with a guy who isn't straight, for whatever reason. To them, I’m both a mate and a substitute girlfriend they don't have sex with 😂 |

Somewhere out there |
So sorry to hear this. Please feel free to reach out if you need a complete stranger to talk to, that certainly has helped me in the past.
I would say, someimes sites like this do not help us with our good mental health but there are plently of support grpups/forums out there to help support you through this period.
Another good way to help identify your triggers or areas that make you feel low is to write things down and what you may need to do to changes things or your mindset
For example "Hate my job" a column then for what can you can change
I could look/find a new job, I could speak to my boss about.x,y,z
2. I am unhappy in my relationship
Talk to them
Leave
Etc etc
It helps break things down and you can set achievable goals
Practice mindfullness and wellbeing
It's very hard and pretty much everyone struggles with their MH at some point in their life, of course that doesn't make it any easier when you are the one going through it.
All the best x

You might be surprised at how many men are lonely and feel like this. I hope you and the OP manage to deal with the issues you are having. We all have demons. |

Don't have family and don't work but feel the same and know how easy it would be to dissappear before many would notice.
Hopefully you and others like you are stronger than I am and find your way out |

Excellent post..
Op, and anyone else reading this (in some ways especially thise who dont feel able to say so on here but share the feelings the Op has done) please reach out to anyone you feel you can talk to..
A period of poor mental health is absolutely nothing to be ashamed off, it doesnt make you 'weak or less of a man' etc to talk to someone about it..
But please do talk..
Best wishes to anyone going through this, stay strong in yourself and reach out..
You will get through it.. |

In trouble, apparently… |
I’ve found that joining a couple of clubs really helped my low mood and low self esteem.
Doing something (especially sport related) gave me something to focus on and takes me away from home (both physically and mentally). I’m really lucky in having friends at the club who take the time to talk and listen without needing to go into specifics at all.
Talking, for guys, is incredibly difficult especially when you think that your problems are your own and no one else will really understand or help. |

Easy to have everything through hard work and feel lonely.
Women see men as an option simple as.
They will also drop you like a stone for the next best thing.
Harsh but true.

I am sure you meant to be supportive
But maybe don't bring your own issues with women, which the OP hasn't even wrote, into a thread like this |

Around 12 years ago, I was feeling all those things and it led to a breakdown and I still don't know why it affected me so bad 😔
Anyway, I did finally get some help - both from friends and a counsellor, and slowly got back on track 🙂
Check out all the advice and options given - it may look daunting but there'll be things that suit you ✔️
I found the simple advice of feeling sunshine on your face helped me - doesn't sound much but those little things helped and made me appreciate what I do have 🌞
Take care and good luck 🤗 |

Probably look at what it is about you that makes you so easy to drop like a stone, rather than projecting your problems with women onto others. |

I don't have problems pal 😉
The women I meet know I'm decent.
You think What I'm saying is not true 🤔
Women do see men as an option simple as and yes they will drop you like a stone to move on to the next best thing. Men do it too.

Then you’re obviously attracted to the wrong sort of woman, it’s not an issue I’ve ever had. |

Never expericed this myself but a bloke I work with has and I never understood it as he had a lovely gf and his kids were great ( in the 20s ) but always made time for him , he worked with me and we work as a gang and all got on pretty chilled work and work all the country , but he used to say he felt on his own , it got really bad so he was told to go to the doctors ( not a thing men do ) and they discoverd ( after quite a while ) he had a thyroid problem. So the. Only advice i could possible give is pop to the doctors maybe ?
Hope things improve for you 🙏 |

Not an issue I've had either. I know what I like and don't deviate.
I get what I want, not what I can get.
All the above still applies 👍 |

Sure, if it's about the thread.
What you wrote is projecting what you think of women. That's not what the thread is about.
Don't make someone else's reach out about you. That's what I'm saying. |

Been there and lower many times, each time, eventually, managed to pull myself out of it. Life can be a bitch at times, but the good times ALWAYS out weigh the bad.
I'm sure I've got more going on in my head than I know of, been on a specialist waiting list since December! |

Been there before. Take a break. Self reflect. Socialise with those you love. Talk to someone. Engage with others. Look after your mental and physical health. Get some fresh air. You are important. You are valued. You matter. You are not alone. |

It doesn't matter what we have around us, sometimes we can all into that negative head space and it can be difficult to get out of it.
In a lot of cases men really struggle to talk about it.
I never for one second thought I'd struggle with my mental health, but sometimes I do.
I've had a really rough few months. I'm getting this next few days done and then going away for a while to reset.
Inbox is always open if you need to chat OP, and anyone else that may be struggling.
