Starmer.

As for an actual sensible answer.. since Sean Lock died, that's about the last comedic talent I've seen.

I clearly have a different sense of humour to a lot of you on here

Not many "new" comedians I'm a massive fan of. But I still enjoy Stewart Lee (loved his recent stand up show), James Acaster, Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Dara O'Briain, Ross Noble, Joe Lycett can be funny on occasion.

Not "stand ups" but honourable mention for Bob Mortimer (probably the funniest person on TV) and Richard Ayoade. Julia Davis is one of the best comedy writers/actors of the last 20 years. Nighty Night and Sally4Eva are brilliant. And Armando Iannucci is just a genius.

Love this question!!

Growing up Billy Conollly was a legend.

Recomendations include: Rob Newman-Frank Skinner-Bill Hicks-George Carlin- Richard Pryor-Patrick O'Neil-Dave Chappelle-Chris Rock-Bill Burr-Sean Lock-Ed Byrne-Bill Bailey-Tim Minchin-Steve Hughes. Marc Maron.

For the Ladies it would be Janiene Garafalo, Taylor Tomlinson- Shappi Khorsandi-Sarah Millican-Fern Brady-Sarah Silverman-Nicky Glazer.

I have favourites for every mood.

But if I can only have one ticket for one show? I'm going to see Stewart Lee. 🤟

land of make believe

"Love this question!!

I had forgotten about Rob Newman,i had such a big crush on him 🥵

🩵

Rob Newman was hilarious with Baddiel in the Nary Whitehouse experience!

The History today sketches!! 🤣😂

Totally i have just been watching one !! 😅😅😅

Got my afternoon sorted now 😅😅

🩵

Excellent! If you run out then I highly recommend searching TMWRNJ on YouTube, another old favourite. 😉"

Oh yes !! I watched some of this not long ago with a friend 😅😅

George Carlin was brilliant

And sadly Billy hasn't got long left and that day i will probably cry as I've grown up watching him and he's part of my childhood and the first stand up routine I ever watched..

The Absolute GOAT ❤️

Bill Hicks is right up there - definitely the best American comedian.

Billy Conolly has to be one of the best British comedians.

I feel British comedy had it's heyday in the late 1980s - early 1990s with Fry and Laurie, Smith and Jones, Russ Abbot, Rowan Atkinson, Lenny Henry, Spitting Image etc.

I'm not a huge fan of the current "shock" comedians due to whose act they stole and watered down to make it broadcastable.
