I saw a thing online about Five Guys. They know their burgers are overpriced so they put extra fries with it to make people feel they are getting a premium product. It’s a con. |

I got food poisoning from burger king once, and it's so expensive too. I have never understood why people like it.
But also, I don't understand the Greggs hype. It's alright but it's just a few pasties/sausage rolls? |

Yeah Subway is pretty mediocre.
Nandos feels surreal to me, everyone in there seems to love it. I'm thinking food is meh, prices are 🤨 for what? And the service reminds me of a school cafeteria.
IHop that's totally overrated I'd go Denny's or even Waffle house before IHop. |

Think I've only been to the mainstream joints about 4 times in the past 3 or 4 years, and it's always been BK.
After seeing the cal count on my last visit, prob be another 3 or 4 years before I go again. |

McDonald’s, I’m usually sick after a meal there
Nando’s, I love chicken and chips but not at their prices
KFC I used to like it but over the last 10 years or so they must have changed their secret recipe or use a different cooking oil because it’s much more greasy that it used to be and is now totally unappealing

Another vote for McDonald's, everything is fried dog shit as well as heart attack food. To top it off, it's all totally tasteless. I might as well eat my own slipper for flavour.
KFC and dominos are interesting, I do love fried chicken and pizza. But I always go to independent shops, the chains charge you more & give you less food. They have to pay their shareholders.

I've found lack of consistency In different outlets of these usual suspects listed above is the biggest problem
I only visit certain outlets in certain places now eg only two KFC places I use when I have too.
Only one domino's unit
A small smattering of macs
Shame but these days you just cannot trust the brands for consistency anymore in quality.

It looks cheap, tastes cheap, it usually gives me a belly-ache...
...but it isn't cheap considering the crap you're paying for. I have never understood the appeal; not even when I was a child in the 1980s. |

Check out Gary Eats YouTube channel. He does reviews of these places. Worse I've seen has been Tim Hortons a Canadian brand owned by Burgerking. He reviewed their Leicester branch. It certainly had the oddest items ie burgers inside donuts??? Whoever could have thought that was anything but a taste disaster waiting to happen. |

I love wagamama, and go there frequently, but this is so true. I don't think there's ever been a time where they gave out everyone's food at the same time. I've been to different ones and it's always the same issue. |

Wagamamas good food.
Wing Stop is the worst of the lot.
The food industry need to pay attention because its shooting itself in the foot with over processed food.
I'd rather pay more and go to a restaurant with a chef cooking the meals. |

This for me too. People are so used to fast food and having it when they want it they are willing to compromise on quality.
Jeremy Clarkson got roasted recently for the price of pie and chips in his pub, I think it was approx £24....I thought yeah, I'd pay that for a meal made from local farmer produce easily, and when you consider in a city restaurant you'd pay around that. People say they want good quality and support local producers yet fast and cheap is no normalised they expect it across the board |

I was at a family meet up a bit ago they were stayed at claridges they were you must try this and that looked at the menu so over priced I refused left them to it and found a nice burger joint round corner still remember the doormans face when I walked back in with it priceless.

Pretty much all of them,
Not one of them makes food that remotely resembles the photos on the menus
Independent ones aren’t perfect but if you research well there are some awesome burger places and other street food that the corporate monsters can only dream of |
