Do you generally like your own face? And what does it say about you?

There are very much things I dislike about my face, but, it’s the only one I’ve got so I’ve gotta love it.
It probably gives away the fact I spend a lot of time outdoors, don’t wear make up or have a “beauty routine” and that I smile a lot |

Apparently I have an unapproachable face 
Inkeds mates said when they first met me they thought i was an ignorant bitch(im actually very approachable)
Inked just looks mean, his eyes say different, he has very kind eyes

You could guess my haircolour from my skintone.
I definitely need better sleep.
I live a high value, low maintenance lifestyle. I take care of my body with lotions and love but don't use the addons many do. |

I like my eyes.🤷♂️
I've got nostrils like Rik Mayall, can genuinely fit a pound coin in each laid flat like smartie lids. I have a big bottom lip which is handy to hide I couple of wonky teeth.
Apparently my face is fairly animated usually but if you point a camera at it then it dies immediately and I look like a waxwork from a dingy basement. |

I never know what day it is anymore , sometimes it feels like the end of the week and it’s only Tuesday afternoon |

Im generally content with my face! It’s what other people think and say about me matters more (obviously positive comments) and I take a lot of comfort from positive feedback I’ve received over the years. I’m not for all but I am for some and that is ok x |

for the longest time i hated my face. then I realised i was judging myself against eurocentric beauty standards and accepted i will never be like that BUT that doesn't mean im not pretty. now i love my face, not all the time, but going from hating it 24/7 to now only feeling not confident about it at certain times is a huge improvement and I'd rather be considered stuck up vs insecure because i know what insecure felt like. |

Yes, I do like my own face. I know that according to British culture, we are supposed to be self-deprecating but I won't follow the herd. I've got gorgeous blue eyes, that are a nice oval shape and strong cheek bones. I'm very happy with how I look. I get called ugly often but I find that's usually from people on websites who have no profile picture, so I can only assume that's deflection of their own insecurities.
I've lived a difficult life. My mother passed away from oesophageal cancer just months before my 21st birthday. I listened to her in the weeks leading up to it, terrified of dying, panicking - my mother who was always strong and courageous, petrified and I wanted to help her but there was nothing I could do - so I thought (I've now learnt about alternative therapies). I put my trust in the NHS and they failed her. But yes, my life has been very difficult for something that doesn't span even three decades yet. I also live as a homosexual and have to deal with homophobic abuse on a regular basis, which builds a lot of hurt and hatred and resentment that I'm sure shows on my face but my face is one of resilience. I'm still here and I don't ever give up.
We should love our faces and bodies that we are given, because we sure as hell aren't able to trade them in for other ones. It's a long, dark lonely road wallowing in self hate and misery. |
